Papertrey Ink's Make it Monday #120 and lunch with Darnell

I hope you are all having a wonderful week...I had the pleasure of meeting Darnell for lunch today and have to be honest, I could have sat and chatted with her all day. We talked about stamps, blogs, challenges and all the wonderful friends we have made while doing crafts that we love.  Our plan was for her to come to my side of world but due to traffic and timing we decided to meet in Dublin at a fun little place, Frankie, Johnny and Luigi's.  We both had the special, Italian taco's and they were so amazing, I had my left overs for dinner.

My card today is for this week's Make it Monday challenge, Overlapping Ombre.  Such a fun way to stamp but while going through all my stamps I realized I did not have one that I thought would work.  So I just pulled out one of my stamp folders and was going to make what ever was in there work, no matter what!  I took the streamers from Birthday Style and turned them upside down to make some waves, turned on Lucy and cut out that sweet little whale and water spouts and there you have it! Thank you so much for taking time to stop by and peek at my card...have a fabulous week!

  1. What a great picture of you and Darnell. I'm jealous that you guys got to hang out all day together. And, you already know how cute I think that card is--those banners make perfect waves, and Lucy made the perfect whale with his happy spout.

  3. I love how you used that brilliant head of yours, Kim, to make those waves in perfect ombre hues and that whale couldn't be any cuter! You might want to watch all that talk about "turning on Lucy, however," unless you don't mind a few extra noncardmaking visitors to your blog, LOL!

It was great fun at lunch today! I'll see you again soon and hopefully Harriet can make it, too!! xxoo Darnell

  15. Absolutely love this sweet, sweet card and absolutely love your genius use of different stamps to create this fabulous scene. Now that is what being creative is all about! Doesn't make you feel great when you accomplish a creation like this with 'making do' with the supplies on hand...kind of re-inventing the wheel! Awesome!

Looks like you gals had a blast hanging out together! How nice that you live close together and get to enjoy each other's company!
