The 12 Kits of Occasions - February 2014 Edition

Ok...not real sure where to start, this kit was beyond amazing, truly beyond amazing, Renee from It's A Patchwork Life is our hostess with the mostess this month and she totally out did herself...so many wonderful ingredients, from the patterned paper to the beautiful ribbon and all the amazing little doo-dads! You could literally make a couple dozen cards from everything that Renee sent, so much fun to have it all spread over my craft desk, it looked like a convention for snowmen, just needed a nice hot cup of cocoa!
This month we have another guest designer with us, her name is Judy Marino from Judy's Card Corner. Judy is one amazing card maker, you will need to grab a cup of your favorite beverage and spend some time on her blog, you will be in awe! Please make her feel at home and be sure to leave her some love too.  To see all the wonderful cards that our group has made, head over to our blog, The 12 Kits of Occasions and from there you can get the link to each ladies blog. You will also be able to find a list of the incredible ingredients that Renee included.

Thank you so much for stopping by to peek at my cards...wishing you all a fabulous Friday!

Papertrey Ink February Blog Hop

Hello...another quick post today with my card for PTI's blog hop. The theme is spring and I pulled out Year of Flowers - Daffodils, I don't think you can get much more spring than this.  I fussy cut my flower and used some glossy accents for the flower middle to make it stand out a bit.  I love this sentiment from the set too, so perfect for spring.  Thank you so much for stopping by and have a fabulous day!

Papertrey Ink MIM and ColourQ #229

Happy Sunday....today was a nice and quiet day, did some sewing for a couple of friends, made a triple layer chocolate cake for Ashleigh's birthday tomorrow and threw in one card for two challenges.  I loved the colors from this week's ColourQ challenge so I thought I would use them for this week's PTI MIM card layering dye and pigment inks. I have not played in a while, but I loved the technique they were featuring, so I gave it a try. Since I was making a birthday card I thought it would be fun to use sheet music for my background stamp, I love the way it turned out. Thank you so much for stopping by....have a wonderful week.

2 Cards for Thursday

It's almost the weekend again...yipppeee and no plans so that means lots of crafting and family time.  I have two cards to share today, my first one is for this week's Merry Monday. It was fun to make, took me a bit longer than it should have and I still think it is missing something but I decided to let it go and post it any way.

It is hard to see all the glitter on my card, it edges the hills, roof and chimeny smoke.

My second card is for this week's CASology...the cue card is "jump" and as soon as I saw that I knew which stamps to pull out. In fact this is one of my oldest sets, it is from Flourishes and I love their silhouettes. I stamped the images in black but since it is an outside setting I really felt like it needed a bit of color so  I added the green stripe paper and yellow twine to brighten it up a bit. Thank you so much for stopping by...have a fabulous day!

Fusion Card Challenge and WP9 - Birthday Celebration

One of the nice things about a 3 day weekend is that there is also a short work week...yipppeee! I hope all of you had a fabulous weekend. I spent yesterday cleaning and then made 2 cards. My first one is for the current Fusion Card Challenge #4, I was inspired by Cathy's card, those sheep are just too darn cute.  I love peeps, I know, I know, I am sure many of you think they are disgusting but there is just something about them I love. Not being a chocolate lover, there is not too much else out there.  When I first got Lucy (my silhouette) I had to have the cut file for peeps and now I have the chance to use it.

My second card is for this weeks birthday celebration over at WP9 and the theme this week is Trend Watch. It usually takes me a bit to get on the band wagon with new ideas or supplies. I have to say I was not keen on sequins when they showed up but with a bit of arm twisting from one of my stamping friends (and she knows who she is), I jumped on and have not looked back. I love these little guys, so many amazing colors and they look so wonderful on cards. So my card is showcasing sequins...thank you so much for stopping by and have a wonderful week!
