The 12 Kits of Occasions - October Edition

It is almost Halloween and also the end of the month so that means it is time for our 12 Kits of Occasion's post. This month our hostess with the mostess is Jessica from Paper Parade and what an amazing kit she sent out. I could not wait to play with my kit but I wanted to save it for my trip to Minnesota and I have to say the my blogging friends loved getting a little bit of a sneak peek. The colors and images from Jessica's kit were just perfect for the setting I was in, fall all over the place, every where you turned, it was just beautiful and so much inspiration for my cards. I have 5 cards to share with you today and as always, lots of leftovers to play with later in the month. Be sure to head over to The 12 Kits of Occasions blog for a peek at every one's cards and links to their blogs. Thank you so much for taking time to stop by today...enjoy the rest of your week.

This month's kit...just amazing right?

Prior Lake, Minnesota - Adventure of a Lifetime

Shopping at Mall of America
Seriously....where do I start??? I have to say this was one of my favorite vacations...really a dream come true, spending 6 days together with 5 incredibly talented and amazing women in a beautiful house on a lake, what more can you ask for?
I spent the week with Anita from My Papercraft World, Ardyth from Maskerade, Bev from Happy Dance, Darnell from djkardkreations and Geri from Manitoba Stamper. You can click on the links to their blogs to see what wonderful stories they plan to share.
We came up with at name for our group...BABES - Benevolent Association of Beloved & Esteemed Stampers.

Our first meal together....we ate at Buca di Beppo's and what a wonderful meal and so much food left over...we ate off of it for days and it was just as good!

Our home for the week...so incredible to be right on the lake. We all seemed to click right away, like we had been friends for years...so fun to meet your blogging friends in real life and have them be just the way you thought from everything you had been reading.  We did a little bit of everything with the exception of cooking and watching television (other than watching the World Series two nights). So nice to spend the time just crafting and being yourself, sharing a very large dinning table...so many wonderful memories.
At times we laughed...really laughed and so hard some of us had tears streaming down our cheeks and times where the laughter would not stop...just so much fun. At time we were very serious,  solving the worlds problems. Then we shopped...lots of shopping, everyone searching for the elusive VersaFine ink pad in Black! I learned some new stamping techniques, we made cards...lots and lots of cards, did a few projects, ate at some fabulous places, I love the 90 second pizza at Punch's, thank you for the suggestion Miss Bev, this place did not disappoint (we need one much closer to my house).  Geri was so sweet to share her chicken wings with me one night, you must ask her to share the story.
The rest of my post will be in photo's...I selected a few of my favorite from our trip, hope you enjoy them. Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by...enjoy your day!

The Card Concept - Sunflowers

Hello...it is already Wednesday, this week is zipping by. I have one card to share today for the new challenge at The Card Concept and it is so perfect for this time of year. Sunflowers are so pretty, we grow them at the school I teach at and harvest the seeds each year. I had no clue how many of those little seeds come off of one sunflower, just amazing.
My card is for the Classy and Elegant style...I really struggled with this one and hate to admit that lots of samples hit the recycle bin. I finally pulled out some rainstones and thought they added a bit of class to my card. The sunflowers were so much fun to make and I hope you will find the time to play along with us at The Card Concept. Thank you so much for taking time to stop by...enjoy the rest of your week.

Papertrey Ink - Make it Monday #182 Mason Jar Stamping

Just a quick post for Sunday...there are two post season games on today that I will be watching and being crafty too. My sweetie bought me a 5lb. bag of peanuts, hope they will last until the World Series is over, with 18 inning/6 hour games you just never know...LOL

I have a jar to share with you today for this weeks Papertrey Ink's Make It Monday. Painting the jars was easy, I have 4 made to use as Halloween treats for friends, 2 black and 2 orange. The stamping portion was not so easy with the curved edges of the jar, so parts of my spiders are missing but I still love the look of the silver spiders on the black jar.  Thank you so much for taking time to stop by...enjoy the rest of your weekend.

World Card Making Day 2014

Happy Saturday! Hope you are having a wonderful day. I spend part of my day at a spa with a girlfriend and a nice lunch to celebrate her birthday. I feel a bit like a noodle right now but it was so nice to be pampered. I have 2 cards to share (I cas'ed Tracey from In My Creative Opinion, in fact I have a little book to share that was cas'ed from her too). You can see Tracey's cards here. Today is World Card Making Day and this is the first time I have ever played along, so much fun.

Happy World Card Making Day!

You can see Tracey's book here...so fun to make. I did not have food themed paper so I bought some digital paper from Etsy, so fun to print my own paper.
