The 12 Kits of Christmas - March 2012 Challenge

Another fabulous kit, this month Suzanne was the host and she put together an awesome kit filled with what I call a "Traditional Christmas". Each month one of us is assigned to be hostess and put together the kits and mail them off to the other talented and creative ladies. We all make cards from the kit and post to our blog with links to all of the others. One of the things I enjoy most is seeing how different all of our cards are from each other. I also love having leftovers in my kits too, to be able to make cards after seeing all of the wonderful creations.
This kit has so many wonderful pieces of printed paper and the stamped images, they are just so perfect with all of the stripes and holly berries.  My favorite stamped images is the one with Santa on his reindeer...I was so excited when I was cleaning my craft desk and found this adorable reindeer charm, just perfect for this card.
Here is a picture of the fabulous kit...

It took me awhile to dive into the kit...what I was really hoping for were some of Joyce's self assembling cards, but someone else must have received this kit. Anyway I left all the supplies sitting on my desk and then it happened, 4 cards made in one evening! I was so excited and very happy with how they turned out.  Thanks for taking a peek!
Merry Christmas
Noel
Santa and his Reindeer
Season's Greetings

  2. Hi Kim! All your cards are beautiful. You really made all the stamps take center stage! My fave has to be the green framed Christmas tree - it looks so elegant with that bow. I really like the way you matted the background paper for the "Seasons Greetings" too! It looks like a beautiful wrapping on a gift. Well done! I love your take on all the ingredients.

  6. Fabulous job with this month's kit, Kim! My favorite is the framed tree but they are all so wonderful! Love how you framed the images & sentiments. That makes them look so finished & perfect! And your embellishments add so much--adore the reindeer charm!

  7. Kim....wow you did 4 cards?? I have 2 favorites. The second card where you angled the patterns with just a sentiment is just a fabulous layout. The third card is just perfectly simple and I love the addition of the charm! I'm just so inspired by these cards! Now I can go CASE YOU! :)

  8. Kim, I am just in love with the first and second card!!! I had cut my tree out with Mat Stack 3 and then just couldn't figure out where to go with it, so I gave up, well now that I've seen your card, I know where to go with it and I'm Casing your idea!!! And the second I just love that layout with the different patterned papers, it reminds me of different samples of fabric, it is seriously a cool card! And that embellishment on the ribbon is awesome, too :) I just love the reindeer charm hanging off the ribbon in the 3rd and the buttons tied with the red and white twine on the fourth. You did such an awesome job with the kit this month!

  10. I agree with Jessica--I cut out my tree and then couldn't figure out what to do with it, but I've just now sketched an idea based on your card! Love the monochromatic look of it. I love the way you used the patterned papers on the other cards, especially the unique layout of the second "Noel" card. Thanks for the fabulous inspiration!

  11. LOL, I am glad I wasn't,t the only one who screwed up their tree, glad you didn't! Love how you used the polka dot bow with the pretty tree. I love the sleigh and reindeer card, uncool red on the candy and paper. I wrecked that one too with my bad coloring. I love the layers and show you used two buttons on one side and one on the top to balance the card. Great job this month Kim.
