DD #51 and RS #62 and one card just for fun!

Happy Saturday! Hope your day was a fabulous one too. My day was pretty quiet other than a quick trip to Costco, but then can really ever make a quick trip to Costco? No. I won't complain because I spent most of my day hanging out in my craft room cleaning, reorganizing and even a bit of crafting. When we got home I found 2 pieces of happy mail on my desk...that is always fun. One of them was from a sweet friend Tracey from In My Creative Opinion, I think most of you know her, (she is one of the new Dynamos on Dynamic Duos) she sent me an envelope filled with all kinds of wonderful goodies to play with, I used 2 of these sweet butterflies that she sent.
I have two cards made for this post the first card is for both Dynamic Duo and Retro Sketches this week. The colors for Dynamic Duo's is so soft and sweet, they just ooze summertime. I pulled out some supplies today that have been sitting around begging to be inked and even added a few sequins! The sketch design is from this weeks Retro Sketch challenge and I love the way it looks in Dynamic Duo colors.

My second card was inspired by my daughter Ashleigh, my rock concert buddy. When this stamp and die set came out from My Favorite Things I had to have it and Ashleigh agreed.  So today I decided to pull it out to play. The card is for one of her rock friends, Mona. They both love Chris Cornell from Soundgarden.  For all of you rockers out there you know Chris Cornell is a music genius, right! Simply amazing, and those blue eyes, like you can see right through to his soul. He is responsible for not only Soundgarden but Audioslave and Temple of the Dog. If you have no clue what I am talking about you have to check them out, the music is incredible!
Believe it or not I go the name on the cassette lined up the very first time...I printed it up from my computer and then lined the stamp and die up and there you have it!
So here is my card....thank you so much for taking the time to stop by to peek at my cards....have a wonderful day!

  1. OK...I love them both!!
The sweet, soft colors of the 1st one...
    and love that sketch...
but the 2nd one totally rocks!
And back in the day when you actually saw cassettes...mine would have read Def Leppard, Motley Crue, Skid Row, Scorpions...you get the idea.
    Now...
it would have to be some Stonesour, Halestorm, Thousand Foot Krutch, Adelita's Way...
    and STILL Def Leppard!! :)

  3. These are both such fabulous cards. The first is so soft and pretty, a perfectly feminine birthday card. And, that second one is just fabulous for the rocker in all of us. Such a fun mix of patterns and colors--and no, I have not heard of any of those groups--I am not as cool as you and your daughter.
