Papertrey Ink MIM and ColourQ #229

Happy Sunday....today was a nice and quiet day, did some sewing for a couple of friends, made a triple layer chocolate cake for Ashleigh's birthday tomorrow and threw in one card for two challenges.  I loved the colors from this week's ColourQ challenge so I thought I would use them for this week's PTI MIM card layering dye and pigment inks. I have not played in a while, but I loved the technique they were featuring, so I gave it a try. Since I was making a birthday card I thought it would be fun to use sheet music for my background stamp, I love the way it turned out. Thank you so much for stopping by....have a wonderful week.

  4. Beautiful card, and scrumptious looking cake. So devoted to Ashleigh to use all that chocolate when I know you don't even eat it. You know how much I love that Snowflake Flurry set, and it is brilliant with the music notes behind it.

  10. First of all, what time will you be serving the cake? I'll be there!

I scooted right on over to the PTI blog to watch the video! Beautiful results from this technique! I love the music note stamp that you used - it looks great with the colors of the 'snowflake' flowers. Loving your resourcefulness in using a snowflake stamp for a flower! Another gorgeous card Kim!

  18. Wowzer--wish I could have been invited to the party! You are quite the cook & baker! Would you believe I looked at the Snowflake Flurries set, but put it back & wondered if it would work to use music for the pigment ink stamping, but didn't try it. Now I know it work! Your card is one of the best in the hop, Kim!

  22. Snowflake flurries is one of my favorite sets. Love how you used these colors with this set so they don't look like snowflakes. Nicely done.
