The Card Concept #20 - Color Challenge

Yipppeee, it is Wednesday! It is time for another challenge at The Card Concepthttp://thecardconcept.blogspot.com/2014/10/challenge-20-colour-challenge.html and I know you will love the colors, so perfect for this time of year. I love Halloween and I love baseball too, the San Francisco Giants and they share the same colors. I decided to make my card a baseball card, using the colors for inspiration instead of the Halloween themed photo. This is the first time I have intentionally made a "clean and graphic" card and I have to say it was a lot of fun. Hope you will find the time to play along with us at The Card Concept, I am really looking forward to seeing your wonderful orange, black and white creations. Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by...enjoy the rest of your week!

  2. Love your CAS card. Using those bats like graphic images is a fabulous idea. Now, if they only had that quote for soccer, that set would be a must have around my house.

  4. Hi Kim, I love your baseball card! Very cool!!
Are you aware that your blog isn't loading right? Maybe it is just my I-pad. I'll try a visit from my desktop in the morning and let you know if that's any better.

  9. I love that you did something other than Halloween with the colors, Kim. Reminds me there is a lot more to "October" than just Halloween!

  14. Such a fun card, Kim! I don't follow baseball until the Series, but was so happy to see 3 teams from the West Coast in the final 8. My brother is a died in the wool Angels fan--last game I saw in person. Of course, my sis & BIL are in the Bay area, so they'll be cheering the Giants with you!

  15. Kim, I agree with all those ahead of me...I didn't know you were taking the copics class either...gosh I don't have much of a life other than coloring...it is consuming me...first thing in the morning I have to watch ALL those wonderful videos, then of course I have to try everything and practice, practice, practice. Linda and I are finally feeling more confident and also feeling good about what we can produce! BTW, your card is awesome, but most everything you make is pretty incredible!

  18. Seriously? You have baseball bat stamps? I'm in awe (and a tad green with envy, too)! A most innovative, eye-catching card! You've sparked memories of my brother's 'efforts' to break into pro-baseball after high school. He landed a partial scholarship to the University of Nevada, in Reno, which he attended for two years, before deciding that his future was back in Canada. Those were 'interesting' times - I missed him immensely, as he did us. 'Small city' Alberta kid aiming for the big leagues was rather cool; he was the only one of his grad class to do something so incredibly unique. Obviously, he didn't make it...but now we have Mr. C, and at 2 1/2 he has quite the throwing arm. Like father, like son. Love your card oodles, my friend!
    Hugs~c
