ColourQ #271 and winner to my "name that band" contest

Are you ready for Christmas yet??? Not me, I am usually more prepared but I am not going to worry or stress over it, all of my plans and projects will come together at some point, right?
Today card is for the new challenge at ColourQ #271 and I hope you will find some time to play along. The inspiration ornament is about as cute as they get don't you think.  I went through all my stamps when I saw this weeks colors an thought my hot air balloons would be the perfect match, and they were so much fun to play with too. What a fun stamp set! So pull out your stamps and ink pads and play along with us. Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by...enjoy your week.

Contest Winner!

Congrats to ABusyBee and Unknown for guessing the Foo Fighters! My daughter was very impressed that you were able to see that in her concert.
I have a third prize too (you can never have too many prizes right?) and that goes to commenter number 18 - Greta!
So please ladies...email me your addresses and I will get your prizes in the mail this week!
Thank you all for playing along.

  1. Love the airy use of the colours Kim (and your new photo!). And I would never have guessed Foo Fighters (despite all my expertise in the Lake House!) since that is a band I don't know at all. I'll have to go check them out!

  2. You are just the sweetest thing! And fun too!!! I'll bet the winners are delighted. And your card is sooo sweet. Since I've got a million family members, I use this sentiment often (on the inside of cards mostly). Such a happy card, Kim. Love it. Bev

  6. Foo Who? Just kidding...yes, I've heard of them but honestly, wouldn't know their music if it bit me in the butt!

Fabulous card - the balloons look awesome in these colors! GREAT photo - love how you were able to capture a bit of a shadow beneath each element!

  9. Gorgeous use of the colours and love all the dimension with the clouds. I'm no where near ready for Xmas but like you I know it will all work out in the end. And if not, well, I'll just eat some more Xmas cake and not worry about it!!!!

  10. Congrats to the winners; I wouldn't have guessed Foo Foo Fighters because I'm not music-savvy, but your daughter's creation certainly made clear that a concert was happening. Brilliant...speaking of which, so is your card! Pretty, colourful and a nice 'break' from Christmas themed ones. Maybe I should step outside that zone for a bit to rejuvenate my creativity (that, and not crafting near a sink of water..sheesh!)
    Hugs~c
