The 12 Kits of Occasions - August 2015

It's the final day of August and time again for our 12 Kits of Occasions post - A Spoon Full of Sugar with Michele Ferguson from I Card Everyone as our hostess this month. This is her first time hostessing and she totally rocked this kit! So many fun, sweet and beautiful elements. Here is the link to our 12 Kits blog, you will just love what you see!

We also have a special guest with us this month, Michelle Leone from Pretty Periwinkles. She is amazingly talented and if you have not paid a visit to her blog, grab a hot cup of coffee and take a peek!

Once again I am a wee bit behind in commenting and I am working hard to change that. I am back at school and as much as I love my students I do miss having the summer off. So I am trying to find balance in everything that I do so please be patient.

Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by...enjoy your week!

You can find a complete list of the supplies Michele used for her kit on our 12 Kits blog under the Monthly Kits Supplies 2015

  2. Gosh, look at these, they're all fantastic! Great use of vellum on the first one, love the color combo and kind of 70s retro style of your second. The green spots make a really nice background on your third card and what a lovely sentiment on the fourth.

  3. Oh Kim! I think my favorite is that green dot stencil background! The black sentiment and colored bouquet just look like they were meant to be with that paper. Perfection! You could save me a boat load in pattern paper! The vellum really softened up the roses paper too and that satin bow is drool worthy! All gorgeous cards Kim!

  4. Awww!!!! Pretty as pictures! LOVE that pink one with the vellum overlay, and that bow! Wow. I will admit to being partial to polka dots, so the middle two really make me smile as well dear Kim! Sweet, sweet cards. And your last one in pretty yellow honeycomb. Just so lovely. You've rocked the kit. I'll hop over and peek at the site in a sec. Have fun at school dear friend. Missing you. Bev

  10. Don't you worry one little bit about being behind in commenting! It can wait or not get done at all! We have all been there and my advice is don't worry about what you missed (cuz it will drive you ca-razy)...but instead start fresh when time permits! Besides, I'd much rather you spend your time creating, sharing & inspiring...like you have today! These cards are A-MAZING! Love them all...but the pink, grey & white card with both little and BIG polkie dots had me swooning!

  13. So many beautiful cards, Kim. Love how you used all the supplies. Your first card really showcases my favorite piece of patterned paper so well, and I just love your stenciled background beneath your perfectly colored flower bouquet.

  14. These are fantastic! I love that you paired the woodgrain with all the bee goodies...such a good idea. And if I hadn't chopped up my bouquet, I would have wanted to use it just like you. But I think my favorite card is your birthday card. I love you how used all those bold patterns together and made them work so beautifully!

  15. Such soft, feminine and lovely cards, Kim ... can't choose a favourite as they're all just so gorgeous! I'm behind too ... sometimes there are just a few too many things in a day/week to juggle! Take your time finding the balance, my sweet friend ... we'll all be here when you do! Miss you! Hugs & bisous, bisous, Anita :)

  16. Falling behind in commenting and trying to find a balance: glad to hear that I'm not alone in feeling a bit 'stretched.' Geri and the others offer wonderful advice: we create when we can, we comment when we can. Stressing and fretting (which is 100% what I'm doing) doesn't help! You need never worry about catching up with commenting on my blog; I know you're 'there'! Your cards: wow, wow and wow! You've totally rocked Michele's kit!

  17. I am just struggling to get around and see all my friends and comment on their genius and very awesome cards!! I love coming to your blog but I have been struggling with migraines and being on the computer just made them worse - so my computer use has been quite limited - my daughter helped me through my blog posts!! Anyways - feeling a little more human and ready to tackle life - YOU are among one of my most treasured blog friends!! Seeing this 12 Kits of Occasion post was such a lift for me - these cards are wonderful and each one put a smile on my face!! I can honestly say that they are ALL my favorite and the way the sentiment was done on each one just rocked!!! Such a great job and I admire all you do and all you are!! Please have a happy week!!! Hugs!!
