Moxie Fab, CASology #44 and SSS Flower Power

It is always so much fun to be able to have a few cards fit so many different challenges and thanks to my sweet friend Joyce from Cards-by-the-Sea for both helping me see the light when it comes to stamping flowers and always knowing when and where the next challenge is!  We all need a friend like her.  In fact this card set is in honor of Miss Joyce, not only does she keep me posted on the challenges but she is a pretty awesome personal shopper too! She will also share anything she has with you and each one of my cards is using dies that she sent to me.  So the theme for my set of cards is flowers, sharing and birthdays and is for challenges at Moxie Fab World, Simon Says Stamp and CASology. Thank you so for stopping by to peek at my cards...have a wonderful weekend!

Waltzingmouse Blog Party - School's Out

Blog-Party-Logo 70%25
It is the 17th of the month and that means it is time once again for Waltzingmouse Blog Party and this month's theme is "school's out".  I was not quite sure what to make for this theme so I thought of a fun little teacher gift. My daughter is in college now and there is no way on earth she would ever think of taking a teacher gift to one of her teachers but I thought I could use it as a gift for one my co-workers.  I love these little notepads from Papertrey Ink and they really make fun little gifts.  I went through my patterned paper looking for something school like and found this piece from Doodlebugs, Take Note.  I also found a few school theme brads and a charm floating around too to give it more of a school look. I also had to short pieces of the ruler ribbon that Joyce sent me from Britex and I had to use it for this. I need to make a run to San Francisco to restock soon.  You have 24 hours to play along with the festive mouse party, you can find the link here.  Thank you so much for taking time to stop by and peek at my project...have a fabulous day!

Colourq #189 and Muse #17 Challenges

I have two cards to share today that I made last night. I fell in love with the colors for this week's Colourq challenge colors, they all went together so well. In fact I had a dream about this card so it was easy to make. I really struggled on the size of the rooster and was sharing this dilemma with a sweet friend of mine and it became a PG-13 or R rated conversation and had me on the floor laughing! I will not share the story but will say it still has me giggling.  It was so excited to see that I actually had the right color ink too, Coral Calypso from SU, so fun to match.

My second card is for Muse and the inspiration card by Therese Calvird, it is just too sweet with her adorable elephants standing on top of one another. When I saw her card it reminded me of these cute little elephant stickers that have been floating around my craft room for many years. I was not sure what to do with them but they were too cute to toss. Thank you so much for taking time to stop by and peek at my cards...have a wonderful day!

DD #52, CAS-ual Fridays #100 and CASE Study #140

Happy Mother's Day! I hope all the mom's are having a wonderful day. My day was pretty quiet, met my mom and sister for lunch at Frankie, Johnnie and Luigi's and had a wonderful time and then the rest of the day was mine to play in my craft room. Dwight and Ashleigh are watching movies and I have reruns of I Love Lucy on, it does not get too much better than that.  I have 3 cards to share with you today. My first card is for this weeks Dynamic Duo's challenge, they are celebrating their one year anniversary and you can select any of their past color combinations for your card. I choose Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive for my colors and once again I pulled out some stamps that have not seen any ink, so much fun using Garden Variety!

For my second card I made one more for the 100th challenge for CAS-ual Fridays. It was a quick and easy card and I love these sweet little ice cream cones I found at Micheal's.  I used the three squares down the left side, Polka Dots, Square Card and Birthday.

My final card is a first for me, playing with CASE Study. The colors are not ones I generally use but I really love what Maile made, her style is simply beautiful so I thought I would give it a try. This was a quick and easy card to make too and I was not even going to post it but then I thought, why not. So here it is. CASology #43 - Hexagons

It took me forever to come up with an idea for this week's CASology cue card - hexagon. I have had supplies laid out on my desk all week and every time I sat down to make my card I came up empty. So today is the last day I have to work on my card and it finally came to me...baseball! I always tell my family that everything in life goes back to baseball and it does right? Going to a game or watching the games on TV is one of my favorite things in the world to do and the San Francisco Giants are my team. Don't you love orange and black together? Fabulous combination! So here is my card...thank you so much for taking the time to stop by to peek at my card...have a wonderful day!

CAS-ual Fridays #100 and Muse #16

I have a few new dies cuts from my friend Joyce (Cards-by-the-Sea) sent me an envelope full of wonderful goodies. My favorite of the bunch is this Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco is my favorite place to be! As soon as I held that die in my hand I knew what I would do with it, so happy to say that I have one more to play with. I have not played along with CAS-ual Fridays challenges for sometime and I had to make my card work. This is their 2nd birthday and 100th challenge, so it is party time! You still have some time to play along and I love that this challenge is a tic-tac-toe, so much fun.  My tic-tac-toe is diagonal, upper right corner to the bottom left corner. The inside reads - May This Year be Your Best Ever - Happy Birthday.

My second card is for this week's Muse challenge and Laurie from Soapbox Creations made a fabulous card for inspiration this week and her timing is just perfect, the school year will be coming to an end soon and a card like this will come in handy. I had this "ruler" ribbon for some time now, Joyce was so sweet and sent it to me. She was up in my neck of the woods a while back and made her way to my favorite place for ribbon, Britex Fabrics. I was saving this ribbon for the perfect card and I think I finally found it. Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by to peek at my cards....have a wonderful day!

Happy Birthday Joyce!

Surprise!!!!

Today's post is all about celebrating Joyce's birthday Joyce's blog is Cards-by-the-Sea) and that means it is time for a birthday blog hop with all of her blogging friends.
But first, here are a few things about Joyce that you may or may not know.....

Joyce is an incredible personal shopper (the best in the business)

Joyce gave up sugar, it has been weeks since her last piece of chocolate, one of her favorite things to eat.

Joyce loves owls too...I found lots of pictures but this was the cutest!

Joyce spins too, this is where she gets lots of her inspiration for her cards.

Joyce's favorite lunch is a turkey sandwich (she eats one every day for lunch).

Joyce love tea (only Peet's).

Happy Birthday Joyce!
This was so much fun to make and I knew it had to have chocolate in it in some way. I remember when Foodie Fun was released some time back that there was a card made to look a chocolate bar. It was just the perfect for you! It took me a few tries until I got my chocolate bar and wrapper just right.  I wish you a wonderful day celebrating with your family!

Here are the rest of the party animals...be sure to check out all the festivities on their blog, just click on their name for the link. And don't forget the birthday girl too!
