Get Creative - Challenge #44 Use Blue

Hello....Happy Monday! A quick post with one card for the new challenge at Get Creative #44 Use Blue.  Our sponsor is Karleigh Sue Digis....wonderful and fun images to play with. I made this card for a sweet friend that really needs some time to kick back and relax. Her son just got married and his new bride does not care much for his mom, it breaks my heart. So along with this card is a gift certificate to a spa, praying that she can kick back and enjoy.

Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by...enjoy your week!

Papertrey Ink Stamp-A-Faire

Hello...Happy Saturday and Happy Stamp-A-Faire! My sister came over for a craft day today and while she knitted, I made 2 cards.  We spent way more time chatting and eating and not too much time crafting. But I do feel good to have 2 cards made, 2 more than I had planned to make.

My first card is for Amy Sheffers Starry Night. Amy's card is simply amazing, and I love trying to recreated her masterpiece. My "stars" took FOREVER to day, I finally had to finally dab them off! But in the end I am very happy with my card.

Amy's Card

I did not have any black paint so I had to improvise and use a city scape die instead. It is hard to see but I added silver WOS on the sparkle die and I used it to add a few more stars in the sky.

My second card is a watercolor card...I pretty did just what Kay Miller did, love the incredible look she created, so fun to watch her video!

Since my sister was here I had her take a photo of me and my 2 cards and since this was about the Masters I had her alter my photo a bit....

Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by...enjoy the rest of your weekend!

ColourQ #351

Hello....Happy Tuesday! Today there is a beautiful new color palette at ColourQ #351, I hope you will find some time to play along with us. These colors are just so beautiful and I loved playing with them.  I pulled out PTI's Fancy Tea Cup die and backed it with some shiny gold card stock. I love these painted flowers from PTI and thought they would look pretty sitting in the tea cup.

I have been spending a lot of time sewing and not too much time playing with cards. I found this wonderful handbag pattern online and just love it. It is fun to make, learned a few new techniques too. I cut out quite a few, went through 10 yards of interfacing if that gives you some idea of how many I am making. Most of them are in Disney fabric but I have a few that are not. What do you think?
