A few weeks back I sold off all of my Cricut cartridges and machine and bought a Silhouette. It has been sitting on my craft desk for a couple weeks looking so pretty. I signed up for a beginner class too that I still need to take, there is so much to learn. So finally I decided to bit the bullet and start playing with her. Wow, what a fun new toy, so many things you can make and I love the fact that it is hooked up to my computer and I don't need to buy cartridges.
It came with a gift card that I loaded on my computer and my oh my, there are so many different images you can buy and every Tuesday they have a free image you can save to your library. While browsing through all the designs I saw this one and had to buy it. I is perfect for my friend Joyce, my guess is she would only eat things covered in chocolate if she could. So this card is for you Joyce, hope you like it.
Thanks so much for stopping by to take a peek at my card....have a wonderful day!

ReplyDeleteThis is so amazing. Love the sentiment--totally agree with it, and your word art with all cut out letters is just incredible. Now I know what you and Lucy were up to, and I am all grins. This is just darling, and I'm so excited that your first card with Lucy is so gorgeous and perfect for me.
We had chocolate covered strawberries for dessert tonight - I'm with Joyce! I also enjoyed reading your backstory - I have a Cricut and a TON of cartridges and from time to time, wonder if I should do what you did. The cuts look so fun and everyone's making amazing cards like this one!
ReplyDeleteWow...love it! That is so cool! (love the ribbon and the rose, too)
ReplyDeleteKim Lucy did good!!! Love your card and i know that Joyce loved it too. You picked a fantastic cut file and your first Cameo card is so much fun. You chose great background colours. I think Joyce needs to get one now too. Just sayin'
ReplyDeleteHow cute that you named it Lucy . . . took me a minute to figure it out but it all makes perfect sense. Great card too . . . Joyce you're one lucky gal.
ReplyDeleteIsn't the Cameo awesome??? This is one great card - was this your first creation???
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun card, and I completely agree with that fab die cut sentiment!
ReplyDeleteVery fun card! Congratulations on getting out Lucy and using her. :)
ReplyDeleteStunning card, Kim, and I, too completely agree with the sentiment ... in the most fab colour palette too! Anita :)
ReplyDeleteLOL. How funny that you named your Silhouette and I love the sweet (and chocolately) card for Joyce. I know, there is no such word, but it describes your card perfectly! We are going to hae to chat about Silhouettes soon, I just ordered myself one this weekend. I know I need that class too!
ReplyDeleteYour card is really cute. I really didn't know what a Silhouette was, but sounds like you love Lucy. What fun.
ReplyDeleteYour card for Joyce is incredible, Kim! We will have to have a conversation about this whole new evolution v. inkiness on the 2nd. It's a whole new world!!
ReplyDeleteLol ...Kim ! This is too cute. I have been thinking about one of those too. Hope you enjoy Lucy . Cathy cracks me up she got one for her class, isn't that nice of her. :) you two will have to let me know how much I need one.
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love your card! It is so sweet & adorable--the colors are just yummy!
ReplyDeleteOh no...
ReplyDeletenow I realize just HOW far behind I am because I never saw this beauty!!
I die over that sentiment...
and I'm with Joyce on this one...
if it's got chocolate...
I'm there! :)
Unless there's raisin's...
and they're disguised to look like chocolate too...
then I'm gone! :)
Kim, congrats on the Cameo!!! I loved reading about it here because I've been on the "no" side of the fence for a very long time. And then I see fun projects like this and wish I had one. I love it and I hope it makes Joyce smile!
