Stampin with Friends

Happy Saturday! I was up early and headed to Livermore for a Stampin Up party at Darnell's house. I love being able to meet new ladies that have the same love of this hobby as I do.  Most of you know who Darnell is, but if not here is the link to her blog, she was our fabulous hostess today and a very creative writer. I knew one of the ladies there today, Harriet from Ally Cat Cards. Darnell, Harriet and I met earlier in the year for lunch after we learned we lived close enough to meet in person, it is a real treat to get to meet other bloggers in person.  The time just flew by while we were all playing with the Stampin Up products. Cindy, the SU rep was so sweet and made sure that we all completed our projects for the morning.  I wanted to learn how to make a "rosette", it was much easier than I ever thought it would be, she even has a huge die that made it so easy and very quick. Here are the cards and rosette that we made today....I will be posting them on the Simon Says Stamps challenge this week, the theme is Anything Goes.  Darnell was a wonderful hostess and had lots of yummy treats for us to munch on during class and a cake pop with a lovely bag filled with tags. Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by and take a peek at my cards....have a wonderful day!

Here are a few of the photos that were taken today...
Darnell has a fabulous sense of humor too!

While we are working.

  1. I'd say you had a very productive day. It looks like such fun, and you really created a lot of great cards, too. They are all beautiful, but I am most drawn to the first card. If it is what I think it is, it is a triple stamping technique I've been itching to try. And, you are going to teach me that rosette when I see you, right?

  5. Oh, you guber, girl! I'm glad you posted the cards (which you executed beautifully), but I thought you were only posting the one of me with my big fat mouth open in a text, NOT to the whole net around the intertube!! Oh, well, life's too short, eat dessert first, right?! LOL!

I'm so glad you had a good time and thank you again for coming! I look forward to lunch in a couple of weeks!

  8. I am so jealous!! I started stamping when I lived in DC and I met the best group of ladies there. We stamped every Tuesday and these photos SO remind me of them - they love SU! too. I loved this post. Did you use the new SU embossing powder on the medallion? Do you love it? It looks so pretty!
