It has been a very long week for me...a medical emergency on Tuesday (I will not bore you with all the gory details) and home from work most of the week and lots of down time to be crafty too. And today was a total pamper day thanks to my sweet sister. She treated me and our mom to a mani/pedi and a yummy lunch after. This had to be the nicest salon and best service ever, so nice to be treated like royalty after what I would call a pretty crappy week. Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by...enjoy the rest of your weekend!
Don't you just love the socks and heated blankets???
So fun being pampered!

ReplyDeleteI hope you are doing ok. Sorry I'm late - just got back from vacation - some crappy stuff in my life this week too. You scared me on your post. - sounds like you made it through the worst. Yes! Be pampered and put the bad stuff behind you. Your card is beautiful ... I always forget to stamp in colors - the red and blue and beautiful together, and you showed that this detailed stamp doesn't need to be colored to be beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHope all is now well with you, Kim and that the horrid medical issue is behind you ... that wonderful spa time and lunch sounds a great way to banish horridness ... sweet sister! Gorgeous card ... love the cool aqua with the vibrant red ... and those blooms are so pretty and whimsical! Anita :)

ReplyDeleteBoy, there's a great example of the direction you want to go, Kim: from a hospital bed to a spa! Yes! I'm so sorry you had such a crappy week, but glad to hear that you were okay and in the end, your sister pampered you in style! Loved all three of your posts!! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteSo very happy to see your special socks and know what you were pampered. Your card is just gorgeous. I love that Serendipity stamp, and I have never thought to use it in any color other than black. Super idea to go with the red and love the embossing. Let's hope this coming week is much better than last week.

ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, my sweet friend...I hope you're okay!! Medical emergency does not sound fun in the least! The spa, however...totally different story! I hope you're on the mend! As for your card: I agree...whimsical, pretty, eye-catching. Fabulously amazing!1 Hugs~c
ReplyDeleteTalk about extremes from hospitals to day spas!!! I'm glad it went in that order too! I haven't been to a spa for years but can still remember being wrapped up in warm blankets and soft music while my facial did its magic. I love this card too (by the way), the red flowers are just so cute, they even remind me of mendhi(?) flowers. Very stylish!
