ColourQ #256


Just a quick post with this weeks ColourQ #256 card and the colors are so fun, such an amazing retro feel to them. So I had to pull out another NBUS set from PTI's Stamp a Faire this year. I did not play along this year but fell in love with the 60's era stamps and dies, they so remind me of The Jetson's cartoons. Solid Card Stock: PTI - Simply Chartreuse and Canyon Clay and SU - Pacific Point and Pumpkin Pie
Stamps & Dies: PTI - 1960's
Ink: PTI - Canyon Clay

    A great mix of contemporary and retro! I think this looks really cool, I love this kind of cards, very different from my own style.

    Wow! This is a very modern or retro card! It reminds me of the very early days of a design I would see at Disneyland .....love it!

    I sure do remember the Jetsons! You are right...those dies really do remind me of that cartoon Kim...love the graphic design of your card which really shows off the Colour Q color combination this week.

    Your reference to The Jetsons, the 'nifty' sentiment, and the dies have tripped some fabulous memories of those '60s TV cartoons! Loved the Jetons...the space-age Flintstones! Delightful, happy-making card...as in groovy cool! Hope school is going well; I can imagine how much your students adore you!

    This is one fabulous card. I laughed about the Jetsons--that is so very true, and I used to love that show. Great way to use those colors.

    Hey Kim! Yes, these colors are perfect for a retro feel. The Jetsons are so classic ... one of my favorites. The amusement park by us has a kiddie roller coaster called "Spacely's Sprockets" and my kids unfortunately have no idea who that is. Very nifty card, indeed!

    This is so cool and very mod!! Once again you make a colour combo I wouldn't know what to do with come alive and look amazing. I now have the song 'She's a Mod' singing along in my brain. Could be worse, have seen a lot of kids tv over the past three weeks and boy do some of their theme songs bore themselves into your brain!!!
