It's Tuesday and that means another card with new colors for ColourQ #277 and the colors are just stunning and so perfect for Valentine's Day. My daughter always asks to make cards with the fold on the side and after making this card I remembered why I don't, they are just way too hard to photograph. I was trying to do one of the fancy die cut borders with the hearts but if you could see my trash can you would see that I failed miserably. So I faked it and used the dies to make a border. I hope you will find the time to play along with us this week, you can never have enough Valentine's Day cards. Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by...enjoy your day!

This card is fabulous, and I do love how you made a border with all those pretty hearts. You have reminded me why I just love that Heart Prints set. Great job with what looks to me like a difficult color scheme.
ReplyDeleteSo luscious, Kim ... such a gorgeous cascade of hearts tumbling down the edge ... all the patterns and rich red/pink shades are beautiful! Hugs, Anita :)
ReplyDeleteKim those hearts are gorgeous. Heart Prints is such a classic Valentines stamp set and the heart look fantastic in this week's colours!
ReplyDeleteThose hearts look good enough to eat! Your border is perfect just the way it is!!
ReplyDeleteI never tire of seeing that love die cut...love it! And those playful hearts just make me smile. What a cute card Kim!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful cascade of hearts! Love this design!
ReplyDeleteWow Kim, this is just too cute. I love it.
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous Kim! Yummy colours for sure. Love your arrangement of the different hearts and I know what you mean about die cutting the border...my trash can was full! :). I resorted to die cutting the hearts separately and adhered. Haha!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute. I love all the hearts.
ReplyDeleteThat's exactly why I always make top fold cards! When I give them to people, they always have that moment where they try to figure out how to open it because they are looking for the side fold! LOL! And I love your row of cascading hearts. A perfect Valentine!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful card, Miss Kim! Love how you've created the border. Those hearts in those gorgeous colors make me smile. This is the perfect Valentine! Love the little sequins too. Hope all is well with you! Missing your company. Bev
ReplyDeleteI love these colors and must play along! Your card is fantastic! I love your colorful layered hearts on the edge design! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous Valentine! Great colors and I love all the different patterned hearts cascading down the edge!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous color combo perfectly used, Kim! I adore this card with the hearts down the side! I make top folded cards for the same reason.
ReplyDeleteOh wow Kim, this is beautifully creative. Just adore the tumbling hearts.

They are hard to photograph aren't they?! Love the border you came up with from the hearts! I can just feel the love : )
ReplyDeleteThey certainly are hard to photograph, aren't they? Love the heart border you came up with. I can really feel the love : )
ReplyDeleteI love your heart border, Kim!!!
ReplyDeleteLove your heart filled card!
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun color combo!
That's exactly why I fold at the top as well...
ReplyDeleteYour card turned out gorgeous, I love the way you arranged all those hearts!
Oh this is so beautiful Kim! Love all those hearts stacked on the side. I mostly make top fold cards but didn’t pay attention to the fact that side fold is harder to photograph, good to know.
ReplyDeleteLove this die, and the way you've done the different patterns on the inlay of these pretty hearts. Turned out stunningly and I think your DD will be very pleased. I think it's just beautiful! TFS & Hugs
ReplyDeleteYou could have fooled me I think the side is fantastic. I do understand the heap of scraps. Love the Love die.
ReplyDeleteYour cascade of tumbling hearts has set mine all a tumble!! AWW this card is sweet, heart tumbling and warming, and I just love it!!! The colors are a fantastic match to the color inspiration photo!! And I love the added touch of sequins!! YOU ROCKED THIS ONE!!! I hope you have a very warm, and happy day!!!
ReplyDeleteSo envious of your perfect stamping once again! I love how the hearts tumble down the side of the card. Honestly, I think the photo looks fine. However, a top fold card is definitely easier to stage for a pic!
ReplyDeleteI'll bet she was delighted with this side-opening card you made, Kim! I love a cascading hearts border and your design is more fetching and festive than any heart border die I've seen!! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you said this about the side folding card!!! Everyone at Dave's work loves my cards but they don't like the top folding ones. I tried to tell them that its the modern way of doing cards now but they don't understand. And your right, its SO HARD to photograph them, very frustrating!! I think you did a fantastic job with this card and just love the over-hanging hearts. Brilliant colour combo too, might just have to give it a go........
ReplyDeleteYour sentiment captures my response perfectly: LOVE this card. Oh, those gorgeous hearts...
