Yipppeee, it's Tuesday! And that means there is a wonderful new color combination at ColourQ #288 and they screamed ALIENS to me! Lucky for me my new stamps from The Alley Ways Stamps arrived just in time for me to get my card made and posted. I used both Phone Home and Blast Off for my card. I have always loved the idea of aliens...I can remember as a child laying in my bed at night staring out the window just waiting for one to fly by! I even loved the cereal Quisp as a child, so much fun! So when I saw these stamps I had to have them!

ReplyDeleteOh my...how adorable is your aliens' card and such an innovative take on the inspiration photo! Brilliant! I've not heard of Quisp cereal, but I'll bet it was fabulous (fabulous in a 'kid' way *grin* rather like Fruit Loops). Sweet card that sees me smiling!

ReplyDeleteThis is such a sweet and fun card!! I love the thought of aliens too!! In summer we would sleep out under the stars and I would pretend all the lights I saw in the night sky were flying saucers with aliens in them!! Love the colors - so perfectly meeting the ColourQ challenge!!! The filmstrip idea with the aliens peeking out is so perfect!!! Wonderfully done!! So sorry to be so behind but I was feeling so overwhelmed and now we have had the stomach flu go roaring through our house - 3 hit so far including me!!! Hope you are well and happy!!!
ReplyDeleteA great interpretation of your inspiration photo...it really did scream 'aliens'. Love the way you've used the tiny head motifs against the brilliant neon colors to make this so cute, such fun card. Love the filmstrip layout too. Very clever indeed. TFS
