Hello...Happy Tuesday! Hope you all had a fabulous weekend. My daughter and I spent Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Outside Lands (3 day rock concert in Golden Gate Park), This was our sixth year attending and as always, we had a fabulous time rockin' out with 70,000 other party animals each day. This year we decided to splurge and got VIP tickets, it was so nice to have real bathrooms! I have a few photos to share...hope you don't mind. Also please forgive me for being behind once again. First my computer was down for a week and once it was back up and running, I was gone for 3 days.
...and yes, I was dancing on the ceiling with Lionel Richie!
Posing with Ranger Dave
The Muppets, what a fabulous show they put on!
Wanted to share this photo with you from the Outside Lands site to give you an idea of how many people were there and this was only one of 4 stages. It's crazy but so much fun!
my black is behind the gray, love the subtle look of just a bit of black. I hope you will find the time to play along with us this week at ColourQ #354
So sorry that this is a bit of a long post...The week before I went to San Diego to visit Joyce and Marybeth, we had so much fun making cards and chatting! I look forward to my visit every summer, we always have a wonderful time.
Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by...enjoy your week!
How fun!! LOVING all the photos and your card is just beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteOh My, that is a crowd!! Last October when my husband and I were in SF we went to the Golden Gate Park for the hardly Strictly Blue Grass festival...that was amazing, but the crowds the day we went was not nearly what you are showing! Super fun though! Love your card and the picture of you three lovely ladies!!
ReplyDeleteYour weekend sounds like it was just awesome! I think the VIP tickets would be my choice, too, if the alternative is a port-a-potty! But it's all about the music, right?!
ReplyDeleteI love the card. You've given me a NEW idea to use a very old background stamp. I don't even think I have ink on that one! Very cool - thanks for the inspiration!
Hugs!!
OOPS! I meant Kim! Honest!!
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty card and love seeing pictures of you and your daughters adventures. Nice picture of your stamping buddies. Lucky you, sounds like so much fun.
ReplyDeletewhat an entertaining post Kim!! You crazy girl going to a large outdoor concert - looks like it was a blast and what a fun thing to do with your daughter - and how nice you met up with Joyce and Marybeth - bet you had some fun crafting time - love your card - the grey die cut sentiment looks so pretty against the beautiful large blue stem stamping! Julia xx
ReplyDeleteWell, welcome back Kim! Love your card and your photos, they certainly show that you had a great time, both at the concert and with the lovely Marybeth and Joyce, such happy faces! Have a lovely day! Hazel xx

What a wonderful tradition for you and your daughter!! Your card rocks too!! I love the wee bit of black peeking out from the birthday sentiment. Also love the cute photo of three of my favorite crafters. Wish I could have been there!!
ReplyDeleteYou are a very brave lady to fight(or enjoy!) all those crowds at a rock concert. It _does_ look like fun though. I'm so glad you had your daughter to enjoy it with...doubles the fun. Love this swirly turquoise vine pattern with the bold sentiment. The shadow effect is so pretty, and one I can never manage to get to look 'just right'. Yours is wonderful. It's quite CAS, but oh, so colorful. TFS & glad you've been having a good time lately. Always fun to meet up with crafty friends. Hugs
ReplyDeleteGotta say--you're making good use of your summer vacation, Kim! How neat you share the concert with your daughter every year--not something I could do--haha! Now playing with Joyce & Marybeth--that I could do! Love the picture of you 3 & LOVE your beautiful card!
ReplyDeleteThat event looks like it was a blast - your daughter must think you're one cool Mom :-) A lovely card for this week's Colour Q challenge and a great reminder that I have that lovely BG stamp and need to use it more to create cards as fabulous as you did!
ReplyDeleteThat's a pretty and elegant pattern and great idea using black only to create that shadowing effect for the sentiment.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Love the sequins.
ReplyDeleteYou are soooo totally a rock-n-roll Babe!!! What a fabulous event to attend with your daughter! I'm thinking you two had a grand time!! Thanks so much for sharing the pics! Ah-mazing venue AND crowd!
ReplyDeleteFabulous card - adore this color combo and REALLY, REALLY love the wee peak of black shadow on the HB sentiment!
