It's the final day of September and time again for our 12 Kits of Occasions post- This is Halloween! Jeanne's kit was simply amazing, so many incredible goodies, enough to make a couple dozen cards! I only completed 3 cards, which is really criminal with all her wonderful ingredients. We have been having so much going on here, my daughter leaves for Scotland today (very excited and also very worried, she is meeting up with my sister and another friend), I know she will have the time of her life, but as a mom, I worry. My hubby is also heading out of town, his mom is not doing well at all, she is 88 and suffers from Alzheimer's and he really wants to spend some time with her. So thank you so much for your understanding. So here are my trio of spooky cards....
Jeanne's fabulous kit!

ReplyDeleteGood morning Kim. Your cards are all adorable. the sweet ghosties wound around the web are the sweetest. Know what you mean about your daughter traveling abroad. Our son leaves for London at the end of Oct., and I'm starting my praying early! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteWhoa, Kim - you've made a whole bunch of wonderful Halloween cards!! Awesome! Today, my favorite is the pumpkins - but that may be because I realized yesterday that I don't have a single pumpkin stamp in my Brainerd studio. Bummer.
ReplyDeleteGreat work, friend!
These are awesome Kim! Loving the card with strips and of course I love the card that we almost did exactly the same... great minds think alike... Lisa too!
ReplyDeleteI hope your daughter has a wonderful trip! I understand worry as my son is in the air coming home from his second trip in the past 3 months from Dubai . Its just what we do.
Prayers are with your daughter, and your MIL as well. Deep breaths my darlin'. I love what you've done with the kit, and I know that many more will come out in the near future. That last one with the polka dot band is sweet and fun! LOVE it especially. Great die cuts on all of them. Missing you terribly! Bev
ReplyDeleteVery fun cards! You did wonderful combos with those papers!
ReplyDeleteKim, looks like you had as much fun playing with the kit as I did and WOW! Your creations are absolutely outstanding! You've given me plenty of inspiration of what to do with some of my leftovers! Second helpings are going to be fun!

Magical cards Kim!! Can't believe we used the same ghosts and orange paper with the sparkly web!! I didn't use my stitched pumpkins yet, love your card, thanks for the inspiration!!
ReplyDeleteWith all that going on you still made some wonderful cards, Kim. I love the simplicity of that last one with it's mix of patterned paper. It's difficult to be the sandwich generation and I send prayers for safe travel for your daughter and for comfort and strength for your husband as he deals with his mother.
ReplyDeleteWow!! Really lovely cards that you made. The simple designs and the layering look lovely. Prayers being sent for your daughter, husband and mother in law. Totally get that it is a busy time for you. You managed to make some awesome cards with Jeanne's kit though!!
ReplyDeleteThe three cards you did create are all magnificent, Kim!! And now you have lots of goodies to continue to play to help pass the time while your daughter and hubby are away! I will pray that she stay safe and that he gets to have some meaningful time with his mom. Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteDon't be sorry for living life Kim! I think you did a great job! I remember my first time doing the 12 kits. It was a big beautiful pack from Renee and I made one card. Quality not Quantity right? LOL It's just for fun! I'll keep your mom (and you) in my prayers. I hope your daughter has a blast (does she watch Outlander?) I wish I could stop by so you're not alone! I am so glad you were able to play along and you made three beautiful cards!
ReplyDeleteIt must have been a tough choice to choose from all this fab elements what to use on your three cards. Which turned out magnificent, all of them. Fun cobweb frame on the first, love the bat paper and sentiment in focus, and my favorite pattern combo is dots and stripes.
ReplyDeleteHalloween goodness overload!!!! What fun you had! Even with "only" 3 cards! Sometimes (but only sometimes) life is more important than card making ;)
ReplyDeleteYour daughter will love Scotland - don't worry, its very safe there.
Kim, these are so awesome. And I love that you really do keep using your leftover pieces to make more cards. (I've been catching up on your blog. I don't know how you are able to do all you do, especially with all that you have going on. You are amazing!)
ReplyDeleteKim that spider web card is awesome! I love how you intertwined the ghosts just perfectly in the web. The cat looks just right showing off that fun Halloween sentiment on the second card. And that sentiment is perfect for the last one :)
