This month was Cathy from Empty Nest Crafter's month to host our challnege. Each month there are 12 of us who recieve the same kit in the mail with all of the most wondeful supplies you can even imagine. Cathy really out did herself this month with this adorable little polar bear, in fact, my daughter Ashleigh said this was her favorite winter card I have ever made (she loves the little polar bears)! Here is a picture of the fabulous kit....
Cathy's fabulous kit!
This is the card that is Ashleigh's favorite...I think it is just too cute.

I am smiling so big right now. Kim, you did such a wonderful job with my kit. I love the first card with the white embossed sentiment and patterned paper snowbanks, and you used the snow!
ReplyDeleteThe second card is also adorable, love the scallop edge and that green text paper. I really just love all the touches on these cards. Great job!
Ok, I LOVE the sentiment embossed on the red cardstock on the first card with the fluff snow pouch. What a fun idea!!! I also like that you left the polar bear totally white here. Just shows it's good to "leave" things alone sometimes!!
ReplyDeleteKim I love all the red on the first card! Especially the red patterned "snow" :) And then that neat moon you made, too! I like that this one is so different from what everyone else created, it really stands out! Then on the second I love the punched border, and that you put the felt scarf on the paper bear.
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful cards!! love the red on the first..wow..so striking! Your second is just too cute with that sweet polar bear!!
ReplyDeleteas usual kim-awesome job!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the shaker card, Kim! I had no idea what to do with that stuff, to be honest...this is adorable! I also love how great all the red and white looks together. On the second one, I love the embellished edge - so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job with the kit. I know why the 2nd card is Ashleigh's favorite. It's mine too!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards, Kim! I am especially smitten with the hills you made with patterned paper. What a fabulous idea! And you were brave to use the snow--I chickened out. Love the way you combined the pretty blue papers on the second card, too. Fantastic job with the kit this month!
ReplyDeleteKim, Two sweet cards. I think the shaker card is the show stopper here. I love the rich red and the clean look you've created. I think the patterend wavy snow is really striking. And on top of all that - You tamed the snowflakes!!! I also really like the frosty blue of the second card - night and day - and both beautiful!
ReplyDeleteStunning design on your first card--love it! The patterned paper on the ground with the pure white bear looks fantastic. And your moon of snow is so unique! The second card is just adorable--great colors and combo of patterns! I can see why your daughter likes it best!
ReplyDeleteKim I hope you're feeling better, and sorry I thought we were posting tonight! The cards you made are adorable I like that you used the hills and the snow in the globe to the side. Very creative way you assembled the printed papers and use the beautiful trim to the side. I love how different we all make our cards. I could not pick a favorite like Ashleigh did.
ReplyDeleteKim...
ReplyDeleteI now know what you were dealing with over the weekend...
and I should have been on my knees for you...
I feel like I've died 1000 deaths in the last 24 hours!
These are fabulous...
love the way you used the papers and that gorgeous trim...
they are both just gorgeous! :)
I love seeing all the different ways we've come up with using these fabby supplies! :)
What wonderful cards you made, and I am so glad to finally be able to see them. Sorry for the delay. Well, they were worth waiting for. On the first card, I love that circle with the faux snow. It looks like a full moon, to me. Also, brilliant to make snow drifts with that patterned paper. Love that second card, too. Great use of the patterned paper, and the filigree die plus ribbon--brilliant.
