So here we are again and I am sure you were thinking more Christmas cards, right? But this month the host of our 12 Kits challenge is Joyce and she celebrates Hanukkah, not Christmas, so instead of sending out 11 kits with all of the same supplies for Christmas, we all received an incredible kit with lots of fun new images and colors to make cards and a little treat holder. We even got a new logo for this month... Some of the symbols I was familiar with and others not so much, my biggest fear was that I was going to use them in the wrong manner and offend and that was not what I wanted to do, so I played around with the supplies and was so happy when I remembered that Joyce had sent me the kit with the "self assembling" cards in it, so happy it was me she sent it to. I was able to make 4 cards and one treat holder but my treat holder is kind of plain so I am still not sure if I will post it or not....

Here are my four cards...thanks Joyce for a fabulous kit and getting us to think outside the box on this one. Be sure to check out all of the other wonderful creations using the links below the photos of the cards.
Well, your kit self-assembled in just the cutest ways, and not at all like mine. I love all your projects, even the treat holder, which is not too plain at all. Fill it with chocolate, and you're good to go! I think my favorite is the card with the yellow facing--I never would have thought of that one, and it is just so striking.
ReplyDeleteOK...
ReplyDeleteawesome!!
I have to agree with Joyce here...
that yellow card is gorgeous!!
Just that strip of patterned paper with the sentiment on the frilly do...
perfect!
They all are!! :)
I want to know how you get self assembling cards in your kits and mine never contain them?!! *giggle*
You did amazing...
love them all!!
Kim, It doesn't look like you had any trouble at all! SO many projects, and all so lovely! I'm glad you kept the treat box - I love the little presents with the button embellishments! I love that you captured the fun of the holiday with the patterns and bright cheerful colors!
ReplyDeleteIt's funny, but the treat holder is what has been my favorite that everyone has been making, yours included! Not too plain at all, especially with those cute packages and buttons on it. Fill it up with something really cute...or yummy and anyone who gets it will love it! I also really like your first card with the pinked squares. That was a great idea and I also like how you used the menorah paper with the menorah image. Duh, why didn't I think of that one?
ReplyDeleteWow! You made a lot of cards! You made each one so pretty and interesting with the layouts and patterned paper! You have all completely sold me on that Whimsy die! I just love the way it looks behind those fillable frames! I agree with the others about your yellow card! It is a stunner! It just stands out and is so gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI love all your projects Kim. Your cards are gorgeous. You did an amazing job and that treat holder is the cutest, I love it! I think Joyce's Hannukka kit was genius.
ReplyDeleteGosh, Kim--these are all gorgeous! And your little treat box is perfect. I love the CAS look with the pair of presents! You've done an incredible job combining papers & colors. I agree about the card with the yellow background. It looks so striking and pretty. But all of them so great! I could never pick a favorite!
ReplyDeleteKim, you did great! Look at all these wonderful cards you created...and you were worried of offending...they would be thrilled with how awesome these turned out! I think my favorite is the second one, that yellow with the delicate blue die, they just go so well together. But all the layouts and combinations you chose worked well together, you definitely have the eye for putting things together!
ReplyDeleteWasn't that so nice of Joyce to send you and I the kits that assembled themselves! :) We were very lucky…. I love all the project you have created, the last one is my favorite, its just so pretty.
ReplyDeleteYou could change the sentiment and it could be a card for any occasion. Great job with all of them Kim!
I'm loving seeing all the blue and yellow projects this month! I especially love what you did with the favor box! So clean and graphic:) Cute, cute, cute!
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job using this kit!! Love it all:)
ReplyDeleteI love what you did with Joyce's kit! I think your card with the menorahs all lined up is my favorite. There were so many "extras" in this kit and it will be fun to use them later! I really like your CAS treat box too!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful projects, Kim!!
ReplyDeleteYour projects are so inspiring this month, Kim! You used the patterned papers beautifully on your cards, and I love the look of the doily die cuts behind the labels. Thanks for all of the great ideas to use with the rest of my supplies!
ReplyDeleteKim, wonderful creations with the kit! They're all so clever!!! I love the layers of papers on the 3rd one, and the gifts on your treat box, and how you layered those sentiment diecuts with the doilies - I couldn't figure out what to do with those. :) Amazing job!
ReplyDeleteKim all your projects are FANTASTIC!! I really love how you girls switched your kit this month .. such a FUN idea!
ReplyDeleteHave a GREAT day!
