This month marks my one year anniversary of blogging. I have to give credit where credit is due, if it weren't for some kind and gentle arm twisting by my friend Joyce, I don't know that I would have done it. I had agreed to do this monthly challenge with Joyce, Cathy and Renee and needed a place to post these cards so that is how I got started. I wanted to do as much on my own as possible, you see my sister is a computer nerd and I really did not want to ask for help, I wanted this to be my own little blog, a fun place to post my cards and do challenges. So in celebration I have a surprise package with some wonderful items to use to make your own cards. I will do a random drawing on Friday, August 24th and announce the winner.
Joyce is also celebrating her one year anniversary of blogging, so be sure to leave a comment on her blog as well, she has two wonderful prizes, a PTI Gift Certificate and a fun stamp set from Paper Smooches.

Cute cards! I do enjoy seeing what your sweet little group pulls off each month. This month's kit is great. My favorite card I think is the Home Sweet Home one. The pearl smoke is just too clever! Happy Blogiversary, and thanks for the chance to win some goodies!

Gorgeous and lovely cards! I love how you made the smoke coming out of the chimney and drifting upwards with the pearls! And oh I love all the images in sewing box hugs mixed with the gingham papers! Thanks for all the lovely eye candy! And happy Blog Anniversary! So fun!

A huge congratulations of your one year blogaversary! It is a leap of faith to put yourself out there like that. I am about a year and a half now. Such a wonderful way connect with other crafters.

ReplyDeleteOK, you have to get this stamp set. You absolutely know how to use it perfectly! I could not figure out what to do with the little house, your idea is perfect! I love, love, love those little pearls used as smoke from the fireplace. That is absolutely genius, Kim. The red card with the lil inker bow is such cute and elegant all at the same time, just a really great combination of cards from you. Congrats on the one year blogaversary!

ReplyDeleteOh, Kim. You did such a great job. I love all your cards. That house with the tree in the distance--such a perfect little scene. Amazing that we both thought of the pearls as smoke. Brilliant to use that stem vertically. I honestly don't know why I didn't even know it was a stem until just now. I love love your patchwork card--I think that is my favorite. Congratulations on your one year mark. So glad we did this together. Can you believe how far we have come?

ReplyDeleteYou four have been having a blast - you made so many cute and clever cards. I like the last one with the tic tac toe blocks, the pearls coming out of the house (very clever), and the first two with the flowers! Honestly each one was better than the last - I think they all turned out beautifully!
