ColourQ #194, CASology #49, and just for fun!

I have 3 cards to share today, I made them yesterday but ran out of time to get them posted.  My first card is just for fun.  I used to scrapbook a lot (now I use Project Life, so much easier for me to keep up with) and when ever I would go shopping for supplies, Ashleigh felt she needed supplies too.  Our favorite little store seemed to have far more stamps in it than anything else, that should have been my clue, right?  She would always pick out something for me from her, so I now have a fun collection of Disney themed wood mounted stamps. I don't have the heart to get rid of them, they have so many fun memories.  My two favorite stamps are of Cinderella, my favorite Disney princess but since I DO NOT color any stamped images, I figured they would never see any ink. I recently learned about water coloring, so I pulled out Cinderella and dusted her off, stamped her in VersaMark and heat embossed in black and went to work.  This is what I came up with.

My second and third cards are for challenges, CASology #49 and ColourQ #194.  Both of these cards were quick and fun to make.  The "cue" card for this week's CASology is Fish, what a fun theme, right?  I knew I had just the stamps to use.  Years ago, my sister and I took some stamp classes in Elk Grove at a wonderful little store and one of the cards we made used these fun fish stamps from A Muse Artstamps. My sister was sweet enough to pass these fabulous little guys on to me and I am so happy she did!

My final card is for ColourQ #194 and I went with a summer theme after seeing the inspiration colors, so beautiful and perfect for this time of year.  I used Debbie Olson's card she made here as my inspiration to go with the colors too,  she is one incredible lady and so talented! All I really did was change up the colors and the theme, why reinvent the wheel!  I also found this cute little starfish in my stash so add a bit of fun!

  2. Well I personally love all three cards Kim. Your Cinderella card is just the cutest and that clock face is brilliant. The CASology fishies remind me of goldfish crackers and the stitched mats are fabulous. Your colourQ is brilliant with the big polka dots and the flip flops. Thank you so much for sharing with us this week at both CASology and the colourQ!

  6. Can I just say: WOW! I adore the Cinderella card, and my little gd Lily would absolutely fall in love with it. It's gorgeous - love how you've put the clock in it too. Great water coloring. I'll have to try that again. Your fish card is such fun! Love all your rectangles and how they push your eye right to the focal point. Really fun card! And your last card is just so bright and summery. Those little flip flops are adorable. In my world, you just can't go wrong with polka dots! Great use of the color theme and love the notebook die cuts. Thank you too, for your kind comments on my last two cards and posts. You made my day with your sweet thoughts. I still only have two scrapbooks - learned early it was better for me to make them for someone else. It is so kind of you too, to offer Disney supplies..might have to hit you up for some ideas! : ) If you're ever in the area, anywhere near Chicago or Milwaukee, let me know! We would have a blast, I'm sure! Bev
