2 cards for Wednesday

Happy Wednesday! I have a fun day planned today...Darnell from djkardkreations and Harriet from Ally Cat Cards are coming by for a visit and then out to lunch and my favorite little crepe place in town.  It is so much fun to be able to meet up with blog friends!
My first card is my second card for this week's CASology, the cue card is "cool" and there are so many possibilities with this one.  Tracey from In My Creative Opinion sent some subway stamped images from Fresh Squeezed stamps and I thought the summer one would be perfect for my cool card.

My second card is for this week's Curtain Call...they are back and holding challenges again. I have to be honest with you, I did not know that they were not new. They are having a fabulous challenge this week, the theme is Nautical, I do not own anything even remotely nautical but Lucy was able to bail me out once again. Be sure to head over to Curtain Call to play along, you still have time.
Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by to peek at my cards....have a wonderful week!

  1. Wow--Kim--these are both so fabulous. I am beginning to see the trend here--Lucy is stepping in to save the day. I really like your interpretation of 'cool'. Your card actually looks like a fun day would look (if a fun day were a card), and your second card is just fabulous. All those wonderful die cuts setting the scene--perfect for a summer birthday.

  2. Both lovely cards! I esp like the second one with its cool nautical feel. Love it! - Irma

  3. You really rocked both these cards and you are really doing some incredible things with Lucy.

  4. We are new and improved, Kim! So glad you could join us for the fun over at the Curtain Call with this super cute card! love the waves and splash of sequins!

  5. Very cool on both cards, Kim! Love that subway stamped image, and the polka dots...nothing better than p.d. in my world! Your second card fits the bill over at CCIC perfectly. Tres nautical! Perfect colors too. I know you'll have a good time today at lunch with the ladies. Enjoy! Bev

  6. Both fabulous cards Kim, I love what you did with the FSS subway art! The scalloped border is so sweet. How fun that you are having lunch with Darnell and Harriet, have a great time. Love your nautical card, Lucy made some cute cuts. Thank you so much for sharing with us for the first Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge!

  7. Jealous that you get to hang with crafty friends...
y'all are all across the country and spread out! :(
But I know you had a fun and fabulous time!
    And what great cards...
I've been looking at those subway stamps...
    an ever growing wish list...
but I think you hit it on the head with that one for "cool"!
And what a great take on the nautical...
I think I may play with tonight! :)

  8. I love that wave!!!! Love it!!! Two toned to boot! Beautiful cards Kim, nice of Tracey to help out.
Enjoy your company, we would all love to meet Darnell in person. Im sure Harriet too , I just don't know Harriet yet. Hope you all have a great time.

  9. Both cards are wonderful!!! Thanks for playing along with us at the Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge!! :)

  10. Both are fabulous, Kim! Subway art is always such fun and I love the colors on your first card. But I'm a little jealous that I don't have a Lucy in my house to bail me out of tough spots!! Your waves are wonderful and I love the lighthouse!

  11. Love the waves and lighthouse Kim! I had such a fun time with you and Darnell today!!

  12. That was so, so fun and funny today!! Wish we lived even closer! Can I just say that if I were in charge, that wave card would so be a winner! I think that's a cut file, but seriously, someone should make that a stamp design! It is positively lyrical!! If it is also a stamp, please let me know!

  13. What wonderful cards, I hope you had fun on your day out. Thank you so much for joining us this week at CASology

  14. Such a fun wave image! Love the scene you have created too. Thanks so much for joining us at the Curtain Call :)
