Crafting but no cards....

Happy Wednesday! I don't have any cards to share just yet but I do have a two crafty projects to show you today.  Both I am embarrassed to say that both are late gifts to my mom and a close friend. Since making cards, they seem to be all I do these days but I had to get these finished before the holidays roll around again.

First up is a Halloween quilt that is for my mom and I wanted to be sure it was finished before Halloween rolls around a second time after giving it to, yes it is almost 2 years late!  But I know she will love it no matter what and it was so much fun to make too. I collected Halloween fabric from all over just to make it special.

Next up is a counted cross stitch I made for a sweet friend and she just loves Star Trek.  I found this pattern on Etsy from Pixel People, they have so many fun patterns to choose from, just pay, download and print them on your computer.  This is the fourth one I have made, Dr. Who, Golden Girls, Big Band Theory and now Star Trek.  They are pretty quick to stitch and my next project will be Scooby Doo, a Christmas gift for Ashleigh, even though she is 21, she still loves watching the cartoons.  Thank you so much for taking time to stop by to peek at my craft projects today...have a great week!

  6. Those are wonderful crafty gifts, and I'll bet that the recipients will be happy to receive them, no matter how late. Or, perhaps they are early for some other occasion in the future? Those Halloween images on the quilt are just darling--they remind me of some stamps I have seen. And, a Star Trek cross stitch--well, that is just incredible.
