Second post of the day and I have 2 cards to share. The first card is for Merry Monday's #70, I have not played along in some time and fell in love with the sketch and knew just what I would do. Some time back a sweet friend of mine, Cathy from Empty Nest Crafter was so kind and sent me the most adorable Santa face stamp from Serendipity Stamps, isn't he just the jolliest? My patterned paper is from Doodlebug and is pretty old, I knew I would find the right use for it some day.
My second card is for this week's challenge over at Seize the Sketch and in fact it is their first challenge, how fun to be in on the fun the very beginning! I pulled out a stamp set that has been sitting in my stamp bin for some time, it was fun to play with and added a bit of festive sequins for a bit of bling!

ReplyDeleteI am so happy to see you love that cute Santa as much as I do Kim...such a jolly old guy, isn't he? I also really love your "rock" card...great take on the sketch and I love that cute cassette tape...unfortunately I remember them well!
ReplyDeleteFabulous cards Kim! The tradtional colors (including the sweet little jingle bells) work perfectly with the sweet Serendipity image which reminds me of the way Santa was always portrayed in pictures!
ReplyDeleteLOVE your retro/vintage cassette card...brings back soooooo many memories of trying to un-wind the tape that got eaten by the tape player!!!
Love the Santa card Kim! Cathy Weber gave me a heads up to take a peek.
ReplyDeleteLove the Santa - perfect take on the sketch & the jingle bells are always a great touch.
ReplyDeleteThese are both so wonderful. That santa card is just so festive, and the patterned paper you used is absolutely perfect. Good thing you saved it for the perfect situation. And, your next card--just amazing. I still have some of those cassette tapes (although no where to play them anymore). Love the combination of all those fun words with that old time cassette.
