My Little Chickadee - April 2018

No automatic alt text available.

Hello....it's April 30th and time for this month's 12 Kits of Occasions Post. This month our sweet hostess is Lisa from My Paper Tales and her kit is about as sweet as she is! So many lovely papers and stamped images, loved them all, so beautiful. This month Lisa has invited Rosemary from Hey There...rosigrl. Be sure to hear over to our group post for peeks and links to everyone's incredible creations.

This month I decided to practice flat lay card photography, so please bear with me. I know my photos are not the best but that is why I said I am practicing. I really love this look and after reading Lexi's post on this, I was amazed at the incredible looks she achieved.

Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by...enjoy your day!

  4. Awesome designs. They’re all gorgeous, but I think the one stamped on kraft is my favorite, due to I love kraft and I like the color you teamed the panel up with.

  6. Pretty Pretty Kim! I love your cards. Some day you have to teach me how to tie a pretty knot in ribbon. Yours is perfection in satin.. ok.. so I'm easily distracted by pretty fabrics. LOL! I love your second card with the birdie in the half circle die cut - the solid die cut with the pattern paper peeking through is eye candy! Your photos look great. When I do flat photography (you'll laugh) I'm standing on a step ladder almost 5 feet in the air. A balancing act! LOL Harder than it looks!

  7. Aww, thanks Kim, you're pretty sweet yourself!! They are all so pretty. I like your semi circle die cut with the bird on the branch, what a fun design element. The vellum overlay and aqua ribbon on your final card are fantastic. Like I said, all so pretty!

I've been giving that more of a try too. I've seen some amazing photography skills out there using it. All your cards and photo's are inspiring!!

  11. Wasn't that a fun kit? Loved every sweet bit, and love what you've done with it. Fun die on the second card and beautiful use of the designer papers. No more practice necessary for flat photography. Love your settings!

  13. Four beautiful cards...... and I think that your flat lay looks are fabulous!
Love, love cards #1 and #4 - the wonderful ampersand patterned paper is a lovely blend with the 'What a Wonderful World' tag/sentiment and the soft, subtle vellum over the florals and perfect aqua ribbon is just perfection!
