The 12 Kits of Holidays - Spring/Easter Edition

Here we are again at the end of another month and that means there will be lots of amazing cards from our 12 Kits group. This month's hostess is Tracey from In My Creative Opinion and she sent out an amazing kit of the most beautiful spring paper, it was really really hard to cut into, I will be honest.  But once I made that dreaded first cut the rest seemed to follow. My cards are made from a online card class called Pattern Play, I missed most of it because of other obligations so now I had the time to sit and watch the video's to see what I missed out on, so many wonderful ideas and I am so happy they were all there to help get my cards completed.  I hate waiting until the last minute to get anything done but I had no choice this month.  The butterfly paper was my favorite and I used every piece of it, nothing left over...in fact I was packing up all of my leftover supplies and I had one small piece of the butterflies and then it hit me, another idea and that is my first card with the window. I love it when those ideas just seem to come out of no where. Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by and peek at my cards...have a fabulous day!

This week's challenge at Simon Says Stamp is anything goes so I will be posting all of these cards there.

Blog Hop for Janelle

Thank you both Laurie (Soapbox Creations) and Dana (Kismet , Art, and Life) for organizing this blog hop to let Janelle and Ken know we are all thinking and sending good thoughts for them. Janelle was diagnosed with a brain tumor last spring and her sweet husband Ken has been by her side for support and strength, and now a blogger. He updates her blog on a regular basis and here is the link to Janelle's blog, Show and Tell to read their story or if you would like to leave her a message. Here is the card I made to send to Janelle...

Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge #85

Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge
Another card for the day (I am hoping to get several more made before the day is over too), this one is for this week's Waltzingmouse sketch challenge and this is one of those cards that pretty much made itself.  I know there is not much to it but I know I wanted to use these little butterflies...they have been sitting on my craft desk for quite some time and when I saw the sketch for this week's challenge I knew just what I would make.  It is very sweet and simple and I needed a belated birthday too, so it all just seemed to fall into place.

Clean & Simple Day 4 - 1 Stamp, 3 Ways

Today is day 4 for the Clean & Simple online card class and it's also the 4th day of making a card with a technique I have never done before.  Today the lesson was to take a background stamp and use it in a different way so I used number dies in a solid color, stamped them with VersaMark and used white embossing powder.  I had these butterflies forever and was so happy that they matched the color on the card, I think it turned out to be a nice finishing touch.  Thanks for taking a peek!
