4 of a Kind Challenge with Up, Up and Away

This is month 3 of our 4 of a Kind Challenge with Cathy, Joyce and Renee and this month will take you away...

Since I don't have this set, it was such a treat to put these cards together using stamps and papers that are new to me and I just fell in love with the polka dots. Joyce from Cards-by-the-Sea did an amazing job of putting these kits together...here is what I recieved in the mail,

There was so much to choose from that I was able to make 2 cards and still have plenty left over for at least one more.  She even inclued black stamped images that can be hand colored and since I don't color I opted to use the hot air balloons that did not require this. One of my favorite pieces of this kit were the clouds dies cut out of felt, they are just too sweet and really gave the look of floating in the sky!

Thanks for taking a peek! And be sure to check out the cards from the other three "4 of a Kind" ladies,

  1. Kim...these are fabulous!
I love what you've done with the backgrounds...
    and all the polka dots!
I don't have this set either...
so it was a lot of fun being able to play with a set that I've never used!

  2. I love them both. You are so clever to make two cards--and they are both so different. I have to say that I was a bit stumped myself after I got all the kits ready and had to make my own card. But your cards are each so unique and use so many different things in such different ways. I love how you have layered the balloons and clouds in opposite ways. I'm going to need to try that sometime.

  3. Oh Kim, these are so good...and you made two! I love the three layers with the embossed paper on the first one with the sentiment strip layered over the fillable frame die cut. That was very creative. On the second, the notebook page with the mat behind it really makes it stand out and the buttons on either end, very nice touch. You did a great job this month. Wasn't it fun to work with a set you don't have?

  4. What fun! Your tag in the first looks as if it's in motion! I love these cards and your inspired take on the challenge. It's like putting to gather one or in your case two fantastic crafty jigsaw puzzles with the best of the best supplies. So well done.

  8. Great theme this time and it is fun to see how each of you come up with different designs. Love both cards! Those colors against white create such a clean, crisp look and love all the polka dots!

  9. Kim, you did an awesome job of using so many different pieces in different ways. Love how you used the clouds & balloons ~ but didn't layer them in the same way as the other. Joyce also picked some beautiful colors to play with ~ great combo!
