Here we are again at the end of another month and that means there will be lots of amazing cards from our 12 Kits group. This month's hostess is Tracey from In My Creative Opinion and she sent out an amazing kit of the most beautiful spring paper, it was really really hard to cut into, I will be honest. But once I made that dreaded first cut the rest seemed to follow. My cards are made from a online card class called Pattern Play, I missed most of it because of other obligations so now I had the time to sit and watch the video's to see what I missed out on, so many wonderful ideas and I am so happy they were all there to help get my cards completed. I hate waiting until the last minute to get anything done but I had no choice this month. The butterfly paper was my favorite and I used every piece of it, nothing left over...in fact I was packing up all of my leftover supplies and I had one small piece of the butterflies and then it hit me, another idea and that is my first card with the window. I love it when those ideas just seem to come out of no where. Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by and peek at my cards...have a fabulous day!

This week's challenge at Simon Says Stamp is anything goes so I will be posting all of these cards there.
Oh Kim! Love ALL your sweet cards! Love how you used the papers! The quilted squares, the framed butterfly paper (genius my dear!), and the impressed eggs with the die cut eggs! Wow! So pretty!
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend!
Jill
Love the butterflies outside the window!! The eggs in the grass is perfect!! Great cards Kim!!
ReplyDeleteKim, I love all of these cards! The colors just scream spring! I love how you have incorporated things you learned in the Pattern play online class on these cards. :)
ReplyDeleteSo lovin' that butterfly paper...
ReplyDeleteit's perfect with that sentiment and the window! :)
And all the cards are fabulous...
love that patchwork...
but my favorite is the eggs in the grass...
simply perfect! :)
I hope this week is a better week for you, Sweet Friend! :)
You've been a busy girl Kim! I love the last card with the eggs in the grass on the embossing - the buttons on the chickie card that remind me of colorful jelly beans, and the window with the butterflies outside with that sentiment is so clever! Beautiful cards packed with color - and all that yummy embossing!
ReplyDeleteWow, Kim, what a splendid spring selection ... they're all amazing and gorgeous, all fabulously spring-y ... don't think I could possibly pick a fave ... it'd have to be all of them! Anita :)
ReplyDeleteI love all of your cards. They are all amazing. I can see all the lessons from our class in these cards, and I will give you an A+ for the class--even though you were late to class EVERY SINGLE DAY!!! The quality of your homework more than makes up for your skipping school. The card with the butterflies in the window is brilliant, and I just adore your woven paper card and the one with that big eyed bird. Even though we used essentially the same sketch/lesson for a couple of our cards, they still came out so unique and different.
ReplyDeleteLook who's rocking the patterned paper! Way to go, Kim! I love, love, love these, especially that adorable window card!! Happy Easter ~ see you next week!!
ReplyDeleteWow!!!! Love all of these Kim! Such a sweet window card, with the butterflies flying around!
ReplyDelete( makes me miss Cathy). Love the one with the chick and the squares that is adorable! Your egg in the grass is also way too cute! Great job again! Happy Easter!
This is such a fun lineup of cards, Kim! You used the papers beautifully, and I especially love how you put the butterfly paper in the window. My favorite card is the last one with the eggs in the grass--so cute and clever!
ReplyDeleteKim all of your cards are so beautiful. I love how you put the butterfly paper behind the window frame. Way to use all those techniques from our Pattern Play class, perfect! I agree with Joyce that you are lucky that your quality makes up for your tardiness. I love how your Cameo grass turned out with the eggs nestled inside. Will be CASEing you my friend.
ReplyDeleteOhhh I LOVE that embossed Easter egg card! The grass is so cute! And that window card is the best idea to go with that sentiment! I am sad that I didn't take the patterned paper class...you girls are making it look so fun! Love the mix of patterns on the little chickie card...ooo and the cool quilt block design!
ReplyDeleteGreat set of cards. My favorite one is the one with the eggs. Love all the embossing on that one.
ReplyDeleteWow, all your cards are gorgeous, Kim! And I agree about the butterfly paper. It was my favorite too! Your idea to put it behind the window was genius. Love that card! You did a wonderful job with all the paper patterns. I smiled to see the little chick on the fourth one! I think my favorite is the embossed one with the eggs & grass--another very clever and pretty idea!! Have a happy Easter!!

What beauty this month, Kim! I think the last one is my favorite, I love how realistic the grass looks with the eggs tucked behind it :) I love that you and Joyce both did a quilting look with all the gorgeous patterned papers we received. And that butterfly paper looks perfect behind the window! What a great spring scene to look out to :)
ReplyDeleteI am going to CASE your first card! I loved that butterfly paper but just didn't know how to use it......now I do!!!! That card is a brilliant use of that pattern paper!!! I also really like how you girls used the pattern class and made the patchwork type card from the pattern!!! Beautiful work Kim!!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card Kim, I love the embossed eggs and the softness of the colours is so pretty.
