Happy 80th Birthday Mom! And a couple of cards.....

Happy Birthday Mom...yesterday my mom turned 80!  You would never know she was 80 if you saw her and how active and fun she is.  My sister took us out for a wonderful lunch at Clementine's in San Ramon, what a fabulous little place this was. We all ended up ordering breakfast but need to go back and try some of their Cajun menu items.

Ashleigh, me, my mom and Robyn, my sister

I have 2 cards to share today, the first one being just for fun.  A sweet friend of ours has these 3 dachshunds that are just about the cutest dogs you have ever seen, she even dresses them up for holiday photos. So when I saw a pair of shoes in the paper I had to send it to her, so I made a card to pop it in.

My next card is for this week's ColourQ challenge  #205 and this week's colors are simply stunning.  With so many birthday's this month to celebrate I decided to make mine into a birthday card, you can never have too many of those.  I used the Hot Spots die from Paper Smooches that has been sitting around for sometime now.  I love the little arrows and thought they would be fun in this week's colors.  Thank you so much for stopping by to peek at my cards....have a great rest of your weekend!

  8. You can tell your mom I said "Happy Birthday, and all the best people were born in September!" Very cool. Great cards too. Might have to explore those dies....Love the round corners on the second card; you've given the angles a softer edge. Bev
