The 12 Kits of Occasions - February 2014 Edition

Ok...not real sure where to start, this kit was beyond amazing, truly beyond amazing, Renee from It's A Patchwork Life is our hostess with the mostess this month and she totally out did herself...so many wonderful ingredients, from the patterned paper to the beautiful ribbon and all the amazing little doo-dads! You could literally make a couple dozen cards from everything that Renee sent, so much fun to have it all spread over my craft desk, it looked like a convention for snowmen, just needed a nice hot cup of cocoa!
This month we have another guest designer with us, her name is Judy Marino from Judy's Card Corner. Judy is one amazing card maker, you will need to grab a cup of your favorite beverage and spend some time on her blog, you will be in awe! Please make her feel at home and be sure to leave her some love too.  To see all the wonderful cards that our group has made, head over to our blog, The 12 Kits of Occasions and from there you can get the link to each ladies blog. You will also be able to find a list of the incredible ingredients that Renee included.

Thank you so much for stopping by to peek at my cards...wishing you all a fabulous Friday!

  2. What a great collection of cards. You used so many elements of the embellies in the kit--now I know what to do with some of them, at least. I especially love the colorful patterned background you made with that looks like a giant herringbone pattern. Need to try this one.

  3. Tell me you didn't make that cute chevron pattern card with washi tape? If you did...I am speechless! It is lined up so perfectly...I thought it had to be patterned paper! I also love your snow globe card...I love that little banner underneath it. I just noticed you got a different button that me on the last card...what a fun kit and I love seeing what you have done with it Kim!

  9. Oh, my Kim you are so amazing. I have watched you grow to be such a fabulous card maker. I am surprised you haven't been awarded the Leibster Award yet, (as far as I can see), so I am nominating you now. You can read all about it on my blog.

  13. Kim, these cards are so fabulous I wish it was Christmas all over again!! Fantastic idea using the vellum for the snowglobe (would never have thought of that!) and the one in a 'paving' pattern (sorry, can't remember what its called) is beautiful. Trying to work out if you used washi, paper or stamps to do the paving rectangles.... And thanks so much for all your comments on my blog, I really appreciate it! My brain is overloaded at the moment with card designs as I have so many challenges that I want to join this week but I'm too tired to make a start at this time of night. What a shame I don't drink coffee!!!

  15. Kim: a gallery of gorgeous cards here! Again, I'm astounded how your create such unique, fresh designs with the kits! Love the vellum globe of the first, the cheerful snowman building scene of the second, the fabulously amazing background of the third (seriously...washi tape? WOW!), and the happy snowman of the fourth. A visit here has certainly warmed up the -40C temperature we woke up to this morning! LOVE your series x 100000000!! Hugs~c

  17. I get so excited each time I see your "12 Kits" post because I know that I am in for an amazing display of craftyliciousness (if it's not a word, well then it should be!). Awesome snow globe effect with the vellum, pretty bits of bling on the snow scene, sweet diagonal patchwork background and nice scalloped piece on the happy, happy snowfella card!

  22. Kim, how cool that you put the vellum in front of the snowglobe card, it makes it look so realistic! Then I love that you made so many cards with no color on the images... they still shine, though because of the great patterned paper you used behind. What an eye for style!

  25. That washi background is AWESOME! I can't wait to try that idea out myself as I love my washi but always just end up using it on the backs of envelopes or something :)!! The snowglobe is so sweet with the snowman and the way the vellum softens the look. The snowman scene is adorable with that patterned paper in the background!
