One card for Sunday....

Before I share my card I need to apologize for not getting all my commenting done this past week, I had no clue that last week was going to be so busy but it just ended up that way. I was asked to make costumes for our school play and spent more time sewing than card making and commenting. I will do my best to get caught up as soon as I can. I have one card to share today and it is for this week's ColourQ challenge #235, such a pretty combination of colors. Thank you so much for stopping by to peek at my card...enjoy your week!

Yesterday I spent the day with a girlfriend and we drove out to Antioch to do some shopping at Hobby Lobby and met up with some friends for lunch too. I have never been to Hobby Lobby and wow, what a treat! This place was huge, massive and so much to see and what a selection too!  I had to take a photo of all the paper they have, you could really spend hours and hours looking at all they have. We are getting one closer to where I live and I can't wait for it to open.

  2. This is so gorgeous. If I had to describe it, I would call it a riot of colorful flowers. In a good way. Super cool, how the sentiment is right on top. That is one of my favorite happy birthday sentiments. Your mat/frame is such a great idea.

  7. This card is so pretty, Kim, with your vibrant row of birthday blossoms! It sounds like you've been busy and it's just like you to help out! I'll bet the costumes were the best! I'm glad you got a chance to have a fun outing with your GF!! (Can't wait to meet you at the new store after it opens!) Hugs, Darnell

  8. I absolutely love your card, Kim--terrific design! I'm so excited--my little town is getting a Hobby Lobby & from what you say I'm going to love it!

  9. Such a bright and cheerful card, Kim. I love those stitched mats, they've been on my wish list for ages but are expensive for me with the shipping to the UK. I'm so envious of Hobby Lobby, we have very little in the way of craft stores over here compared to what you have. More online stores are now stocking oversees products which is great but you can't beat a good old rummage! :)

  10. Gorgeous card and love the stitched details. Really like all the different flowers grouped together and the sequins are such a beautiful colour. Perfect card! Hobby Lobby sounds like a wonderful place to go with a crafty friend. I could spend the whole day going up and down the aisles wishing for products and creating cards in my head. I would probably need to take a sleeping bag as I wouldn't want to go home!! We have a similar store in New Zealand called Spotlight, my closest is in Nelson (90 mins away). Dave always take the kids to the park while I wander and take 'WAY TOO LONG!'

  11. Hey Kim, no worries about the commenting. Life gets busy! I'd say forget about catching up - just pick up from today and carry on!
Hobby Lobby would be a dangerous place with a high limit credit card!
Gorgeous design - love that the white space has been reserved for the sprinkle of pretty colored sequins :)

Stunning color combo this week at ColourQ - you nailed this challenge! Love

  12. I second Geri - no worries about commenting; we know you're busy and that 'other things' come into play. I'm so far behind myself...but like you, will try to catch up! I wish we had Hobby Lobby in Alberta, however, my inability to exercise restraint at the best of times would be totally kablooey! Your card = lovely, lovely, lovely! Pretty blooms, fancy font, stitched mats (I'm reuniting with my cuttlebug today after work. Yayyyy....)...simply lovely! Hugs~c

  15. Fantastic card, Kim. As for time getting away, I'm in the same boat! And the rest of my week here looks a little crazy... Love how you've used the colors, and I've been eyeing that PTI set for months now. It might have to move to the top of my wish list. Great design. Bev
