Two more cards for Sunday....

I really have 6 cards to share but I only made 2 of them. First the 2 cards I made...the first one is from this week's Papertrey Ink's Make it Monday #164. I went through all my stamps looking for images that would work and I thought this graduation cap would be just perfect...I am also entering this card in the current challenge at Colour Me #20.

My second card is for ColourQ, challenge #241. I made 2 cards last night and unfortunately they both hit the trash, hate when that happens...I love these colors but could not get them to work for me to save my life. So today I pulled out my newest die, these beautiful butterflies from SSS, so fun to play with and I have a card to share.

My next four cards were made by Cathy from Empty Nest Crafter. They are from my families husband kit. There are 4 of us who made cards for one another's hubby and children so we would be able to received cards for our special occasions, like Mother's Day, anniversary and birthday.

It is such a treat to receive such beautiful cards on those special days...thank you again Cathy!

  5. Love both of the cards you made today. Those butterflies look fantastic bordered in gold. Well, I do not have to tell you how much I love that die and this card. And, your caps in the air graduation card is such a fantastic design. I will be making one of these for the next grad in the family who has decent school colors. Cathy has totally spoiled you with that fantastic selection of husband kit cards. Clearly, you are a well loved gal.

  11. Very cool graduation card, Kim! Lucky is the grad who finds this in their hands! And those butterflies...soooo beautiful. (and I'm not the world's biggest fan of butterflies...may have to rethink that after seeing your card!) Such a wonderful idea to have 'husbands' kits. You know you'll get a card, but it's still a surprise and made by a special friend! Have a great week. Bev

  18. Wow, wow and wow - a gallery of gorgeous indeed! The first two are jaw-dropping awesome, my friend! I tried the PTI technique last week (despite not having PTI products), but the result was dismal - my recycle bin was rubbing its tummy at having been fed a feast of failed attempts. Yours with the grad caps = BRILLIANT! I made some Grad cards this weekend, too - and they're certainly not as eye-catching as yours. May have to give this white-embossed, concentrated stamping another go...Our second card - well, my response is predictable - swooning! Gold embossed, blue butterflies...sighhhhhhh. The other four: super fabulously wonderful. The husband kits = brilliant!! Awesome post, my friend - mega watt smile all over my face! Hugs~c

  19. Your cards are gorgeous!! Amazing how you can make one stamp look so stunning. Love the colours in the second card (my favourites!) and the butterflies look so good with the gold outline, very clever! All those cards you received are so lovely and it must be so nice to be part of a group of crafters who can give you support, ideas and to squeal with you when new products come out!!
