Happy Sunday!

I have one card to share today and it is for the current challenge at Colour Me Challenge #33 and this week's colors are so amazing, bright and vivid and fun to play with. Also wanted to thank you ladies at Colour Me for selecting my card from last week's challenge as the winner, what an amazing honor...thank you so much Sherrie!
We have finally recovered from last weekend's rock festive, the older I get the longer it takes but I have so much fun it is worth it.  This week was busy doing fun stuff because school starts this coming Thursday, can't believe summer break is almost over. On Monday I met up with Darnell and Harriet and we went to the Hero Arts outlet in Richmond, it was so so tiny but we all managed to spend money that has to say something. And then a nice lunch after at Pyramid Brewery in Berkeley. Tuesday I went back to San Francisco for lunch with another sweet friend and we ate outside at a cute French Cafe, so fun. In fact this thank you card is for her, she is one of the sweetest ladies I know. Wednesday I had my hair done and Thursday my sweetie took me to Half Moon Bay for a wonderful lunch at Sam's Chowder House. No time to make cards until this weekend...I have more to share but you will have to wait to see those. Thank you so much for taking time to stop by....enjoy your week!

  9. It sounds like you've had a great time!
I like your design, the colors look great together, as do the patterns. And most of all, it's so 'unisex', give it to a woman or a man, it doesn't matter. I like that about a card, personally I find them really hard to do myself.

  10. Such bold graphic designs & colors on this card. So very striking. Congratulations on your win, too, very well deserved I'd say. Lucky you to enjoy the Hero Arts outing with such great company. Sounds as though you've been busy enjoying life - which is much more important than card making or blogging. You can do those things, when you don't have the opportunity to enjoy your loved ones and spending time with them. Hope you'll share some of the H.Arts goodies you found. Your dinner looked delicious too! TFS & Hugs. Happy wk ahead.

  16. What a gem you are to create such an elegant, thoughtful card to thank your friend for her companionship! Heart-warming...as was the time spent with people who are special in your life. The HA outlet certainly appears lack-lustre, but time had with friends makes that A-OK (can you believe that outside of some inks, no HA lives in my collection?? Yeesh!) Cafe du Soleil - gorgeous; the lobster roll - yumm!! Such a delightful post, from the pretty card to the pretty people, to the pretty food...
    Hugs~c

  17. Sounds like you are making the most of the last days of summer, Kim. I didn't know HA had an outlet store and I am now craving lobster :) Your balance of color, pattern & white space of the card is perfect!

  18. I saw the photos of the 'under-whelming' Hero Arts Outlet Shop on Darnell's blog. Talk about a small place but you forget about all that when there are craft products to be purchased!! Must be really lovely to have other crafty friends to catch up and laugh over your disasters with. Loving this card by the way. I would never have put those colours together and I'm amazed at how good they look, especially with the crisp modern layout you have. Your friend is going to love it!!
