Simply Create Too #77, CASology - NBUS and ColourQ #275

Hello and Happy Wednesday...I have 2 cards to share today for a few challenges. My first card is for the new challenge at Simply Create Too #77 - Mother's Day card. I only have one Mother's Day sentiment and it is not a favorite of mine so I thought this little sentiment from PTI's Side by Side would be the perfect stand in.I used the technique that Jennifer McGuire shares in her video here, it was so much fun to make.  I hope you will be able to find the time to play along with us.  I am also entering this card in the new challenge at CASology - NBUS with Darnell! My Blushing Flower Branch is a NBUS.

My second card was on my blog to post yesterday, not sure what I did wrong but my card just seemed to disappear. I loved the colors so much for this week's ColourQ #275 challenge that I made two cards. So my fingers are crossed that this time my card shows up.

  2. Your crossed fingers worked, because both of your gorgeous cards showed up today. That first one is so very stunning, and I still can't figure out how you did it, even though I watched that video! Have to give it another go. Love it for a mother's day card, and that die cutting part is just amazing. And, you know what I think of your second card, still swooning. Those mums are so terribly neglected in my house, I think you have inspired me to pull them out to play. Thank you so much for playing along at CASology this week.

  3. I can hardly wait to get home to try this 'border' technique! I am so in awe of whoever it is that creates these amazing techniques! Your card is so perfectly balanced...the sentiment looks like it was made for this design! Stunning simplicity!

And those CQ colors...yep, heart did a skip or two when I saw this card! Cool design - it almost looks like the flowers are 'spilling' over the edge of a basket! You rock dear friend!
