We used the Pencil Bloom Dies from Papertrey Ink and then we wrapped them in white doilies and tied them off with some curl ribbon.
Then I remember why I had to buy these. Jennifer McGuire's video, you can see it here. So I pulled out this week's colors from Colour Me's challenge and went to work. They were so much fun to make and can not wait to make more and change up the colors and even add some patterned paper! I am also entering this card at Simon Says Challenge - Anything Goes. Hope you are having a fabulous weekend....thank you so much for taking the time to stop by.
Your pencil bouquets are just gorgeous, and I can see all the moms from your school being so very happy on Mother's Day to get a bouquet that never dies and is so beautiful and useful, too. And, I just love your trio of heart cards. I remember that video, and such a great way to make a set of cards. Love how those stitched hearts look all perfectly nested like that.
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful, Kim! Love the dimension and the inlay on the first is fabulous! Beautifully done!
ReplyDeleteSo gorgeous, your card set! I have bought quite some stuff after watching Jennifers videos - she is such an enabler....not gonna watch this one ;)
ReplyDeleteWow - what an awesome color combo! Fabulous trio. Either my eyes are playing tricks on me (which happens often) but it looks like the largest heart on the blue & pink base is popped up! If not, it's one heck of an optical illusion!
ReplyDeleteThe pencil flower bouquets are sooooooo sweet! The moms are going to love them! I can well imagine that you had just as much fun (if not more) than the students making this sweet paper crafting project!
Awww, I love the layered hearts Kim, this is pretty!
ReplyDeleteA perfect example of how hearts can be used year round. Lovely! I love those colors too! Thank you for sharing your work with us for the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. ~Michelle
