Dynamic Duo's #58 and Muse #23

Two more cards to share today, the first one is for this week's Dynamic Duo's and you still have time to play along too!  This week's colors threw me off at first, not colors I generally use but I have to say that I am very happy with the way they turned out. I used Soft Cantaloupe ink from Hero Arts and Canyon Clay ink from PTI and I love how they look together.  I even added a few pearls to dress up my Folk Art Medallion from Waltzingmouse Stamps.  I would have bet money that I had a clear block big enough to fit this stamp and not only that I was sure I had used it before too, but no on both accounts so that is why my medallion is off the edge.

My second card is for this week's challenge over at Muse and Anita from France is they guest designer this week so I had to play along...you still have time to join the party over there too.  I fell in love with the soft and sweet colors she used along with all the wonderful sequins, just a beautiful inspiration card.  Thank you so much for stopping by to peek at my cards....have a wonderful week.

Waltzingmouse Stamps Flower Show

Waltzingmouse is having a flower show! It started last Friday on the 19th...Claire had an amazing group of extremely talented ladies make cards using any of the WM flower sets, and wow...these cards are just beautiful.  The challenge is to find a card from one of their blogs that you like and CASE it, not too hard, right?  Thank goodness my sweet friend Joyce from Cards-by-the-Sea got me hooked on flowers or I would not have had any to play with...I have to admit I resisted flowers for a long time and now I am having more fun playing with them.
I went through their blogs a few times before I decided on which card to make. I chose one that Meredith from A Delightful Waste of Time made and made just a few very minor changes based on the supplies I had on hand.  I even learned a new technique while making my card and that is always a nice bonus to have. I loved how sweet and soft the colors of Meredith's card are and tried to get close to that same look.

Waltzingmouse Blog Party - April 2013

Blog-Party-Logo 70%25
Well, it's the 17th of the month again and that means it is time for the Waltzingmouse blog party! This month's theme is Spring Flowers but I do not have any stamps from WM that are flowers so my sweet friend Joyce from Cards-by-the-Sea was kind enough to stamp some off and drop them in the mail to me. She recently won this set from WM, Camellia and it is a beautiful set, the flowers are so easy to fussy cut too. I cut out 3 of the flowers Joyce sent and layered them in the Lil Inkers Polaroid frame.  I have never used this color of card stock, Lavender Moon before, it really is a very pretty color so I was happy that Joyce make the color selection for me. I paired the flowers with a piece of patterned paper that another sweet friend sent me, Renee from It's A Patchwork Life, it is so nice to have crafty friends who share!  Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by and peek at my card...have a wonderful day!

Waltzingmouse Blog Party March 17th - Luck

Next Blog Party on the 17th March
Happy St. Patrick's Day! It in only fitting that this month's blog party at Waltzingmouse is on this fabulously fun holiday.  And the theme is is Luck, just perfect but I will admit that it is not the easiest theme to make a card for.  I had an idea but then my new stamps from WM arrived and I was able to use the new Folk Art Medallion set, you can see it here. I happen to have this little set from PTI, Luck of the Irish and there you have it, a new card for a sweet friend.  Be sure to head over to the party and check out all of the wonderful cards that will be there and if you post a card you will have the chance to win a free set, so it is worth the time.  Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by and peek at my card...have a festive and fun St. Patrick's Day!

Lucky to Count you as a Friend
