This week's color selection at ColourQ is so perfect for St. Patrick's Day, one of my families favorite holidays. I love the color green, and this card really showcases two beautiful shades. I made my card for one of my girlfriends, I am so blessed to not only have her for a friend, but as a coworker too. To make a long story short, I am our schools auction chairperson and we have been battling with our principal over caterers and it turned into one big mess! She was there to support me during our emergency meeting last night and I will be forever grateful to her for all she has done.  So here is my card...thank you all so much for taking the time to stop by to peek at my card, have a wonderful day!

Sending You Happy Thoughts

Today I wanted to finish up a get well card to send to Joyce's mom (Cards-by-the-Sea) who has been in the hospital for a while.  I wanted to make something bright and cheery since it is springtime, I thought this would be a great time to break out the tulip die! Renee (It's A Patchwork Life) was so sweet to send me a lifetime supply of these wonderful windows and window boxes and they go so well with the beautiful tulips, my favorite flower. The inside of the card reads, "sending you happy thoughts, feel better!" I hope this card brightens her day...thanks for taking a peek!

PTI February 2012 Blog Hop - Interactive Cards



It's that time again...but this month is a bit different, the challenge is to make an interactive card and I have to say this is one of the most fun cards I have made in awhile.  If you have not checked out all of the new Movers & Shakers dies and stamp set at PTI, you have to and you will also be over the moon with these new wonderful goodies. I was so happy when my order arrived in time for me to play along this month and to use my new zipper dies, just so much fun and I can't wait to give away some of these fabulous cards. 4 of a Kind Challenge with Up, Up and Away

This is month 3 of our 4 of a Kind Challenge with Cathy, Joyce and Renee and this month will take you away... 

Since I don't have this set, it was such a treat to put these cards together using stamps and papers that are new to me and I just fell in love with the polka dots. Joyce from Cards-by-the-Sea did an amazing job of putting these kits together...here is what I recieved in the mail,

There was so much to choose from that I was able to make 2 cards and still have plenty left over for at least one more.  She even inclued black stamped images that can be hand colored and since I don't color I opted to use the hot air balloons that did not require this. One of my favorite pieces of this kit were the clouds dies cut out of felt, they are just too sweet and really gave the look of floating in the sky!
