Winter 2016 Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

Hello....just a quick post with my card for the Winter Coffee Lovers Bloghop 2016. I had so much fun making my card. I took a to go coffee cup stamp from Verve - Holiday Treats and turned it into a Christmas wreath, it only took me a few tries to get it right but I love the way it turned out! I added a bunch of festive sequins to jazz it up a bit. Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by! Enjoy your week.

2 cards for Saturday and a Giant's game too...

What a fabulous day! My sweet daughter took me to a San Francisco Giant's game today, it was my Mother's Day gift and we had an amazing day. And to make the day even more special, it was Dave Dravecky Day, what an amazing man and ball player, so inspiring.  And all the old Giant's players were there too, so many wonderful memories of games from back in the 1980's and so many tear jerking stories too, I thought there was no crying in baseball??? So thank you again Ashleigh, I had the time of my life!

Now on to my cards...2 of them for the same challenge. I fell in love with this week's colors at ColourQ Challenge #249, so I could not stop at one. My first card is using a NBUS that I won from The Alley Ways Stamps, Mrs. Rogers Neighborhood, their stamps are very whimsical and fun. While looking around their site for some inspiration I found that they added cut files for most of their stamp sets, so much more affordable too...a $1.50 for cut files for an entire stamp set!

My second card is using a wonderful set from Verve...Poppy Birthday and I took some inspiration from Joyce's card at Cards-By-The-Sea and you can see her card here. Thank you so much for stopping by to peek at my cards...enjoy the rest of your weekend!

3 Cards for Saturday and Some Fabulous News!

Happy Saturday! Today I have 3 cards to share today and some fun news...so first with the news. I am still over the moon excited about it...last week I received an email from Arielle Hemp Gordon from Snappy Stampin (she organizes several challenge blogs and is one of the most amazing card makers on the planet) and she invites me to be the Headliner for Retro Sketches and not just for one post for the entire month of May! Now you see why I am so excited.
So now on to my cards. My first one is for the current challenge at Serendipity, there are still a couple of days left to play along if you like. The theme is Shades of Gray #30 and I thought of using their gorgeous dove in silver, it cuts so beautifully.

My next card is for this week's CASology challenge and this week's cue card is "electric" #93...so many possibilities but I went with some electric poles. I have had this stamp set forever and it was fun to pull it out and show it a little love. It is called Hello Friend from Avocado Arts.

I have saved my Retro Sketch card for last....I have to be honest, it took me a bit to get what I wanted to do to work and then it all just fell into place and I started having fun putting it together. I pulled out some NBUS from Verve, Poppy Birthday and decided to use this week's colors from ColourQ #239 and will be playing along with them too! I hope you will find the time to play along with Retro Sketches this week, it will be so much fun.
Thank you so much for taking time to stop by and Arielle, thank you again, I am truly honored.

The Card Concept #1 and breakfast with friends....

Happy Thursday...only one more day until the weekend, can't wait! I have one card to share with you today and it is for a brand new challenge, The Card Concept. If you have not to their blog be sure to take some time to check it out and you still have time to play too.  They have so many fabulous card styles that you can use to make your card for but I will be honest, I have no clue what my style is.  I just pray that everything is straight and even!  The colors for their first challenge are stunning and look so well together.  I decided to pull out some older stamps, in fact the 100 Hearts is from Verve and my first clear stamp set purchase and still one of my favorites.  I love this quote from Winnie the Pooh.

Before you go...I was lucky enough to meet up with Darnell and Harriet again and this time we met for breakfast at this wonderful little place called Val's.  The food is so yummy and they have been around forever! We got our sweet waitress to snap a photo of us so we would be able to share.  Thank you so much for taking time to stop by to peek at my card...have a fabulous Friday!

Dynamic Duo's #57 and Avery Elle June Challenge

Happy Tuesday! Hope you are having a fun week...I have 2 cards to share today, the first one for Dynamic Duo's Challenge #57.  I made a Mother's Day card using a NBUS stamps from Verve and PTI! So much fun playing with stamps that have been sitting around for a while.  I loved the green and black color combination for DD this week and I opted for the dessert option and used a flower stamp.

My second card is for this month's challenge at Avery Elle.  The sketch for this month was so fun, I had to play along. I pulled out another NBUS stamp set, Bonjour. The cookies are just too cute to pass up and who would not love a plate filled with these?  I choose to go with some pastel colors and they went so well with the little sequins. Thank you for stopping by to peek at my cards...have a great week.

It seems as if it has been forever since I posted a card to my blog... Today's card was inspired by CAS-ual Friday's weekly challenge and Ted from the PTI forum. Ted posted the most beautiful Valentine's Day card on his blog and linked it the the forum and I just fell in love with it, so this is my version and it goes with the Penguin Suit theme for the challenge.  Thanks for taking a peek!
