Colourq Challenge #137 plus a little more...

This is another challenge blog that I have not participated in for some time and since I had the day off I decided to try and get a few cards completed.  This weeks challenge colors are just so fun and festive and made the perfect birthday card.  Thanks for taking a peek!

Inspiration Photo
Like I said I had the day off so I made a few graduation cards.  Ashleigh has one friend graduating from high school and another from college so I needed to get a few cards made and ready for the parties.  I was inspired by a card I saw on the PTI forum made by Leigh Penner, her work is just incredible.

Last photo for the evening...tomorrow the school I work at is having a bake sale and I made some chocolate chip cookies and packed them up in little bundles of three cookies each with an adorable tag tied off with some bakers twine.

  1. So glad you got to have a little fun on your day off Kim, that graduation card is getting pinned as one of my very favorite graduation cards...ever. I love the patterned paper behind the negative image. That is so creative. Great job, loved it!

  2. Well, you were a busy little bee on your day off. I love both of your cards--and especially that graduation card. I need to make one more (that I can think of), and I am going to make one just like yours. What a great use of the numbers. I did something with numbers last year, but I can't remember what it was!! And, what a cute way to package up your cookies. You will have some very happy customers.

  3. A day off and you get super busy! That cookies tag is adorable...I bet people will be drawn to your cookies over any other (and I'm sure they taste better, too ;) The graduation card is really cool, I love the paper peeking through the numbers, and the first card has beautiful colors, I love that big circle as the focus, too.
