Merry Christmas everyone! Now be honest, how many of you celebrated Christmas in July??? I love this holiday and my summer school munchkins think I am nuts but we did the same thing last year...hot cocoa with marshmallows, Rice Krispie Treats decorated with Christmas Disney sprinkles and a few Christmas movies to top off the day, we had a blast and they loved every minute of it! Well as you most likely know this post is the monthly installment of fabulous Christmas cards, one person puts together kits that are all the same, mails them out and then each of us put our spin on the supplies. I was lucky enough to get a kit whit two self assembling cards, you know how I love those. This months hostess is Christina and she put together an amazing kit. She used the traditional holiday colors and her patterned paper from Authenique is just so beautiful that it made working with this kit so much fun. I have to say that my favorite piece is this sweet little song bird, as soon as I saw it I was in love and knew I would be using both on different cards. Thanks for taking a peek at my cards!

Oh, goodness. I love all your cards. It is so fun to see how you picked some of the exact same things as me, and did them totally differently. I really love what you did with those sweet birds, and am super glad I still have one bird left.
ReplyDeleteI love how you used all the bird diecuts and the branch and berries! Now I know a way to use them! Your last card is layered so pretty with the sentiment being center stage.
ReplyDeleteAll beautiful cards Kim, I love that ribbon and the bird die cut.
ReplyDeleteLove your cards, Kim! The last one is my favorite. It looks like a beautiful Christmas gift all wrapped up!!
ReplyDeleteOh my - such pretty cards! Love that bird and the branch! And your beautiful bow on the last card is so gorgeous! What a fun kit and I love that you celebrated Christmas in July with your kids....might have to do that with my son today and break out a Christmas DVD and some popcorn or treats! :)
ReplyDeleteLove them, Kim!!
ReplyDeleteI'm really loving that last one...
the layering...
and way you mixed the patterns...
I think that one's my fave!
And I love the birds!!
I always save some of my favorite parts so that I can go back and CASE later...
and the birds were part of the hoarding this month! :)
You did an incredible job with this incredible kit...
love it all! :)
You did such a beautiful job with the kit this month, Kim! Great minds must think alike in perching the red bird in the pine branch. *wink* I love how you used the sentiment strip below it and added those pretty red gems. I never thought of cutting apart the number blocks on the patterned paper, but it looks great on your second card. A definite CASE in my future. :) I love the tiny pearls you added to the berries on your third card, and I agree with Kara that your last card looks like a beautifully wrapped gift! Wonderful work with the kit this month, Kim, especially the patterned papers. I'm definitely inspired to do more with my leftovers!
ReplyDeleteKim your cards are all so pretty. The red bow on the last one is just gorgeous. The Red bird on the first one is also so pretty sitting one the pine branch. Love the gorgeous tree with the blocks to the side … great layout. Great job this month!
ReplyDeleteHi Kim! I love seeing what you did with the kit this month. I especially love the cards with the birdies - like bringing nature in doors. Your cards are all so clean and festive. So smart how you broke up the pattern paper on the card with the Christmas Tree into a panel of images! Well done!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun idea, hot chocolate in July! You sure came up with some beautiful cards this month Kim. I love those bird and branch cards. Great idea to add the pearls to the berries. I love the one with the embossing too, those swiss dots always add such great texture and are perfect for holiday cards, like snow. Almost forgot, the number card with the Christmas tree, beautiful and I don't know why I don't think to use different sized pearls...they look so great on your cards.
ReplyDeleteGreat set of crds. Love the vintage feel of them.
ReplyDeleteWow, Kim, these are all so wonderful! Love how you used the tree with the number blocks and the pretty embossing on your last one! My favorites though are the bird cards! Adore the one on the pine branch! And what a great idea to use that patterned paper as the background on your second bird card! Using pearls on the berries looks fantastic too! l never thought about that! Great job on all and I'm looking forward to playing with your kit next month!
ReplyDeleteKim, the birds are sooo cute! I love the way you positioned them to look up, it gives them such a sweet look :) I love how you also cut out the numbers and used them separately like I did (great minds think alike, right?? ;) And the last card really stands out to me, it is really pretty :)
ReplyDeleteOh, happy day!! Guess who has that little wren die and a very similar pine needle stamp? Uh, huh, oh yeah. Me! TFS!!
ReplyDeleteHi Kim! I LOVE your tree card - how you cut the squares and layered them behind the tree, especially, but then added those pearls! And the bird card - how your bird matches the little ones in the top corner on the patterned paper - CLEVER!! I also really love the layout of the one with the embossed dots - gorgeous. All so so fabulous!
