What an honor....

I was nominated for the Liebster Award by one of my blog readers...Suzanne from Beauty and Blessings.  Liebster is German a word for beloved, dearest or favorite and this award is shared only among those of us with 200 or less followers.  I am so overwhelmed by this, I love making cards and connecting with so many other talented ladies who are so inspiring and creative.  I have met so many talented ladies and made so many awesome online friends which I am so blessed to have.  This is the second time that I have been nominated for this award...I feel bad because I never did acknowledge Renee from It's A Patchwork Life, I had the flu and saw the mention and then forgot all about it.  Renee is one of those women who inspires me every time I check out her blog.

Part of the honor is to pass it along to five others who are  encouraging me and others through their sweet comments as well as inspiring us with their own beautiful projects. So I gladly pass this honor on to:
Joyce,  Cards-by-the-Sea
Renee, It's A Patchwork Life
Cathy, Empty Nest Crafter
Katie, Our Charmed Life
Maureen, Buttons and Bling
It is so hard to select just five ladies, there are so many more that I could list.  Be sure to stop by each of these blogs and check out the fabulous creations! Suzanne and Renee, thank you so much for the honor.

I spent part of the day today working on some Easter crafts for my kids at school, we are going to make Easter baskets using the PTI Front & Center Die. I cut them all out and closed up the sides and I will have the students decorate with color crayons and some fun Easter stickers I purchased today.  Since I was in the cutting out mode, I decided to cut out a few extra to make for a few of my friends but I added a bit more  and made  a seed packet filled with Jelly Belly's and a touch of Easter grass and glitter.  Thanks for taking a peek!

Up......and Market Street Blog Party

Up...who doesn't love this Disney movie?  My favorite parts of the movie are Fenton's Ice Cream (this is a local place for us, about 20 minutes away in Oakland) and the house being carried away by all of the many colored balloons.  I have seen many cards on different blogs using this theme and was so jazzed that I had all the tools to make a card.  It was a quick card to make too, so that was a bonus for me.  I only have one stamps set from MSS so far and don't you just love this little house! Actually the stamp has three houses together to look like a neighborhood and I only used the one for my Up house. I was realized that MSS was having a block party and wanted to add my card. Thanks for taking a peek!

The 12 Kits of Christmas - March 2012 Challenge

Another fabulous kit, this month Suzanne was the host and she put together an awesome kit filled with what I call a "Traditional Christmas". Each month one of us is assigned to be hostess and put together the kits and mail them off to the other talented and creative ladies. We all make cards from the kit and post to our blog with links to all of the others. One of the things I enjoy most is seeing how different all of our cards are from each other. I also love having leftovers in my kits too, to be able to make cards after seeing all of the wonderful creations.
This kit has so many wonderful pieces of printed paper and the stamped images, they are just so perfect with all of the stripes and holly berries.  My favorite stamped images is the one with Santa on his reindeer...I was so excited when I was cleaning my craft desk and found this adorable reindeer charm, just perfect for this card.
Here is a picture of the fabulous kit...
It took me awhile to dive into the kit...what I was really hoping for were some of Joyce's self assembling cards, but someone else must have received this kit. Anyway I left all the supplies sitting on my desk and then it happened, 4 cards made in one evening! I was so excited and very happy with how they turned out.  Thanks for taking a peek!
Merry Christmas

PTI March 2012 - Blog Hop

Blog-hop-logo
March is here and so is spring...what a fabulous inspiration photo for this month's Blog Hop, it just screams Spring and Easter to me.  Yellow and blue are a great color combination for a spring card and I decided to make my card an Easter card.  It was fun to play with some new toys and my card the colors are just a bit softer but the same idea.  Thanks for taking a peek!

Four of a Kind #7 - On My Couch and On My Couch Additions

This months kit came from Joyce - Cards-by-the-Sea and she used stamps and papers I do not have so that always makes making the cards fun. Each month one of the four of us host the challenge, sends out all of the kit supplies and then we all post our cards or creations at the same time. It is always nice to see what each other has made using the same supplies and if we have any supplies left over, more ideas to use up what is left.  I have had my eyes on this set for awhile so it was a fun challenge to be able to play with the stamped images and give them a test run.  The first photo is of the fabulous kit Joyce sent...

So many wonderful goodies in the adorable container.
I was able to get 5 cards made from this kit, I still have some supplies left over for a few more cards once I see what the other ladies have come up with. Thanks for taking a peek!

Make It Monday #56 - Die Cutting Partial Images

I finally got around to getting my MIM card made and what a fabulous technique to try out.  I tried Betsy's version several times but I guess I just don't have her magic touch, I could not get it to work.  I tried a few other ways to get the partial image cut and finally had success.  I have to say I would do this again, I really love the look of the finished card.  Thanks for taking a peek!

Five of them are for my monthly "4 of a Kind" challenge and will be posted later this month.  I am really looking forward to posting these cards because all five of them use supplies I do not have and it is always fun to play with new supplies and not have to spend any money for them, thanks Joyce!
Tonight's card is a birthday card for a co-worker and she loves to garden so I thought using Rosie Posie from PTI was the perfect set. Thanks for taking a peek!
