Happy 4th of July! I hope everyone is having a fabulous day no matter what you are doing. Today is a quiet day at home, went to breakfast and had my eyebrows done this morning with a girlfriend and get to spend most of the day being crafty, that is in between a few loads of laundry too.
This is my first time playing with Pretty Pink Posh's 10 Minute Craft Dash...I was a bit nervous, afraid I would really blow it and use up way more time than the 10 minutes allotted for in the challenge. I set up my iPhone to time my progress and had to move it because I kept looking at the time. Not a good move on my part. Well, to my surprise I finished with just about a minute to spare. Not too bad for my first try.
I am entering my card in 2 challenges, 10 Minute Craft Dash and SSS - Partriotic.
My next card is my second for this week's ColourQ #196 challenge..this week's colors are so much fun and there is still plenty of time of play along...thank you so much for stopping by to peek at my cards. Have a fabulous day celebrating our nation's independence!

You have had such a productive crafty day. I love both of your cards--that first one is so fun---great way to use that amazing die. And, your second--great use of those colors--and your dot trios look a bit like Mickey ears. Perhaps it is those colors that remind me of Disney. I think that is a difficult color scheme, but you are making it look so easy!
ReplyDeleteHappy 4th of July Kim, love your card those embossed details are fabulous.
ReplyDeleteThanks for playing in the 10 minute Craft Dash, we will love to see you in the next challenges.
Love the fan designs in your first card, Kim - a great patriotic card! Thanks for sharing it with us at the Simon Says Stamp challenge this week!
ReplyDeleteHappy 4th of July! Both cards are fabulous. Love the scallops on the first one and the florals on the second.-Irma
ReplyDeleteWhat fabulous cards. I love that die you used on your first one and the flowers on your second card just pop off the card.
ReplyDeleteWhat better way to spend a holiday than doing what makes you happy! :)
ReplyDeleteThese are both fabulous...
and over a minute to spare...

I've never attempted the 10 Minute challenge...
I get dizzy just thinking of it but you pulled it off wonderfully!
And what a great take on Color Q...

Great cards, Kim! My first card that took 11 minutes is simpler than yours. Unique & wonderful July 4th card!

ReplyDeleteThe fourth of July card is so festive! And I love the beautiful floral explosion on your second card! Great use of the colors. Thanks for joining us at colourQ!
ReplyDeleteYou did all this in 8mins 34 seconds? Not Bad? Truly amazing Kim ... such a perfect example of patriotic! Your floral card is a delight ... wonderful layers, gorgeous bling, a yummy ribbon ... splendid, quite splendid! Anita :)
ReplyDeleteAnother cute card. Was it you Kim that didn't make flower cards at one time? If so, you sure have made it one of your comfort zones. Lovely....
ReplyDeleteYour ColourQ card is fantastic, Kim, but my, oh, my, how I LOVE that fanfare card! Something else for the wish book!! Eek, more NBUS!! It reminds me of the Avery Elle stamp set I already have ... it looks like you can remove all those bits, but you didn't, which I like, but now would you do a card with the bits removed so I can see that, too? It's just smokin' genius how you layered it in red-white-and-blue!!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend! We finally broke the heat barrier and dropped like 26 degrees over here, phew!
Nice card. Like the way you use the die cuts for the background, fits perfect together. Thank you for playing with us in the 10 Minute Craft Dash. Hope to see you again!
ReplyDeleteWhat great cards! So patriotic and fun! Great use of the colors. Thanks for playing at ColourQ.
ReplyDeleteOh, wow, I love your cards!

I would be a nervous wreck if I did the Craft Dash. LOL! I love the patriotic scallops on your card. And a gorgeous job with the challenge colors. Who would have thought to use Mustard for the leaves? You did, and it looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteKim, you may have just single handedly sold me on Ruby Rose!!!! I am adding it to my wish list right now!
ReplyDeleteAnd I can't believe your patriotic card took only 6 minutes! Those diecuts are perfectly placed - that would take me forever!
