So now on to my cards. My first one is for the current challenge at Serendipity, there are still a couple of days left to play along if you like. The theme is Shades of Gray #30 and I thought of using their gorgeous dove in silver, it cuts so beautifully.
My next card is for this week's CASology challenge and this week's cue card is "electric" #93...so many possibilities but I went with some electric poles. I have had this stamp set forever and it was fun to pull it out and show it a little love. It is called Hello Friend from Avocado Arts.
I have saved my Retro Sketch card for last....I have to be honest, it took me a bit to get what I wanted to do to work and then it all just fell into place and I started having fun putting it together. I pulled out some NBUS from Verve, Poppy Birthday and decided to use this week's colors from ColourQ #239 and will be playing along with them too! I hope you will find the time to play along with Retro Sketches this week, it will be so much fun.
Thank you so much for taking time to stop by and Arielle, thank you again, I am truly honored.
Congrats on being the headliner for May. That is super exciting. All your cards are fabulous. I especially love those flowers in the last one.

I love all your cards today. The bird is so peaceful and elegant on the first, your telephone wires are brilliant for CASology (thanks for playing along) and your RS card is just gorgeous. ReplyDeleteCongratulations Kim on your invite to be a guest designer on Retrosketch. That is so exciting. I will have to make visits to that site again. That dove is absolutely beautiful. All three cards are awesome. Great news.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!! That is just the most wonderful news, you must be so excited. I saw your photo just before when I was the Retro Sketches blog and got such a surprise. I had to come over straight away to say 'yay you!!'. And what a gorgeous trio of cards you have slaved over. The dove on the first card is stunning in silver, so shiny and cut perfectly. I saw the cue word at Casology yesterday and I can't believe you had power poles in your stamp collection, how awesome is that!! And I love the squiggly flowers, so sweet and look beautiful in that colour. I will definitely be joining you at Retro Sketches for all this month. With you giving us all inspiration, how can I go wrong!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the Retro Sketches gig Kim - you rocked the colours and the sketch! Absolutely love your Casology card too...the perfect stamp set for this weeks Cue word! Thanks for joining us at Colour Q!
ReplyDeleteWoo Hooo *fist pump* on your GD role over at retrosketches! Your fabulous talent warrants as much recognition as possible; so glad that the RS team agrees! Your trio of cards here are fabulous! The dove is beautifully delicate; your 'electric' card is precisely that - electrically awesome; and your RS card, perfect for the sketch, and even more perfect for reminding me that I have that same set (which obviously needs more attention from yours truly!). Now that you're GD at retrosketches, I'll be committed to playing - especially since I'll have a chance to 'case' you!! Yayyy...Hugs~c
ReplyDeleteI love the power poles! It made me think of driving along the dirt roads of my childhood. Great card.
ReplyDeleteFabulous cards Kim! The hydro poles (as we call them in Canada) are soooo neat and such a cool way to interpret the challenge! The dove is beyond gorgeous & elegant! And last but certainly not least....your retrosketch card - gorgeous colors, awesome design! Congrats on the headliner gig! Arielle sure knows talent when she sees it! :)
