The Challenge #38 - Color Challenge


Happy Monday...my first week off of school for the summer! I am doing the happy dance right now...I do need to go in to do a bit of cleaning but that should not take too long and I will have my handy dandy iPod with me so I can rock out while cleaning.

Don't you just love this week's colors for The Challenge, they look so amazing together! I have been so busy helping friends with baby shower decoration and baking for Eagle Scout events I have not had much time to be crafty. But those are now behind me and my craft room is clean so I am ready to make some cards! I hope you will find some time to play along with us this week.

I am also entering my card in the Coffee Lovers blog hop that the wonderful Amy Tsuruta from Tsuruta Designs is hosting...so many amazing sponsors and prizes too!

Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop
Baby Shower center pieces, I made 20 of these little critters

 


It took 2 dozen eggs, 3 pounds of powdered sugar, 3.5 pounds of butter and lots more ingredients to make this 117 cupcake flag. My girlfriends son made Eagle Scout and this was served at his Court of Honor. I was so honored to be asked to make it!

    Happy summer vacation Kim!
    I love this coffee card, my favourite coffee card that I have ever seen...honestly!
    I think the colours that you used to create with and the awesome mix of patterns evokes a really warm feeling, like a cup of coffee! The coffee die cut ( same as the blog hop icon right? Who makes this?) is fantastic!

    Wow Kim all this while you were working too! Love the baby shower critters and that cupcake flag is wonderful!
    You did a great job on your card, I had a hard time with the colors but maybe because I only had a limited amour of them to make mine.( busy week) beautiful card!

    Amazing coffee card, Kim! Those colors are perfect and I love your design with the 'coffee' die cut! Your projects look wonderful too. The cupcakes must have been quite an undertaking and I'm sure they were very popular.

    Hey GF!! You must be breathing a sigh of relief that "school's out for summer" (channeling my inner Alice Cooper...)! Your baby shower projects and Eagle Scout cupcakes are amazing!! That flag!!     How do you do manage to get all this done? I broke out in a sweat just reading about your undertakings! Amazing cupcake cake! That's a whole lot of butter & sugar...and why they likely tasted divine! Sweet baby shower centre pieces and amazing card!

    Could you please bottle up some of your energy and creativity and ship it to Canada? I'll pay the postage!
