Happy Wednesday...have you ever had one of those times when you can't focus or think straight for that matter??? Well the past few weeks have been that for me. Some ugly stuff took place at my job, things that should have never been allowed to take place at a Christian school and with that being said, I totally messed up on my card for the new design team I am and it was my first card too! I really felt like quite a dope when it was brought to my attention but Kylie from Happy Little Stampers is just the BEST and so understanding! I read embossing folder and used it like it was meant to be rather than what the challenge is for. So any way, here is take 2...I hope you will find the time to play along with us this month. Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by...enjoy the rest of your week!

ReplyDeleteHope that things are better for you (and everyone) at work. Call me if you need to talk. Not sure how your first card went, but this is charming! Love that Starbucks stamp to bits!! Great ef stamping too. And that Verve die is the best one out there. Love this sweet coffee card. Running off to get a cuppa! Miss you. Bev
ReplyDeleteThat's a great embossing folder Kim! I love this 'new' take! Great design! Hope the rest of this week and the weeks following are better for you! Sending hugs & prayers. Hazel xx

Awesome! I'm still in love with this folder! Your card is dreamy...
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about the ugly stuff happening in your workplace. It's almost impossible NOT to carry it home with you! Hope things smoothen out soon xx oo
ReplyDeleteJust the sight of the word "Coffee" makes me smile! Love anything java related and love this card...and the previous one too :)
OH, this one is just as fun and cute as your original card. That inking technique really gives a unique effect.
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are great. I love this latest card and I can't wait to use this ef and technique (one of my faves).
ReplyDeleteI think both cards are fab!

Kim, I know that what happen should never have, but you need to know that you are amazing and move on!! Both Take 1 and take 2 are so fabulous and super creative--a always!
ReplyDeleteOh Kim...so sorry to hear about your work situation! Hugs of comfort coming your way. My past few weeks have been over-the-moon *crazy-making* as well, so know that I empathize with you deeply. I think BOTH your DT cards are amazing; you've worked magic with that embossing folder using it 'as is' or with the inking technique. Love this one AND the previous one!

This is just as fabulous as the first, Kim ... those little coffee cups turned out brilliant all inked up! Do hope you've had a much better week, my sweet friend! Miss you heaps! Hugs & bisous, Anita :)

Hugs for the work mess. That's so horrible when you have to deal with 'stuff' in the workplace. Hope you are feeling some better about whatever just now. I LOVE your coffee card. Starbucks is not my favorite 'coffee' per se, (too strong) but oh do I LOVE their lattes! And that is a fab die just perfect for a coffee lover, and really dresses up the cuppa-s! Well done on this one, and I bet we've all made the same design mistake you mentioned. Happy wkend. TFS
ReplyDeleteThis looks fabulous Kim... so very crisp, makes me fancy a coffee right now!

Kim, this card is so SO neat! I'm so sorry about the troubles you've had at work!! Hoping things get much better soon.
ReplyDeleteDon't you worry your pretty little head, Kim. We all have days like that. I didn't know they made coffee cup embossing folders but it looks great using it as a stamped background.
ReplyDeleteFabulous card Kim! I love the background. Perfect supporting player to your sentiment and Starbucks image. Hope things go better at work :)
ReplyDeleteI've never used my folders for stamping, I've only added ink to the embossed pattern. I love how this looks stamped instead of embossed, definitely going on my to do list!
ReplyDeleteAs a coffee addict, I am in love with your card!
ReplyDeleteSo, so sorry about the problem at your school, Kim. I've been through some terrible situations & my heart goes out to you. Perfect embossing folder for the fun technique which I'm hoping to do soon enough to enter the challenge.
ReplyDeletecool that you put also starbucks image there
