Hello...Happy Saturday and Happy Stamp-A-Faire! My sister came over for a craft day today and while she knitted, I made 2 cards. We spent way more time chatting and eating and not too much time crafting. But I do feel good to have 2 cards made, 2 more than I had planned to make.
My first card is for Amy Sheffers Starry Night. Amy's card is simply amazing, and I love trying to recreated her masterpiece. My "stars" took FOREVER to day, I finally had to finally dab them off! But in the end I am very happy with my card.

I did not have any black paint so I had to improvise and use a city scape die instead. It is hard to see but I added silver WOS on the sparkle die and I used it to add a few more stars in the sky.
My second card is a watercolor card...I pretty did just what Kay Miller did, love the incredible look she created, so fun to watch her video!

Since my sister was here I had her take a photo of me and my 2 cards and since this was about the Masters I had her alter my photo a bit....
Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by...enjoy the rest of your weekend!
Your cards are fabulous Kim. I love the night time scene you were able to create on the first one and your water colored card is so beautiful. What a fun day for you and your sister.

ReplyDeleteNow aren't you clever--fun photo, Kim! Your cards came out great! The city scape was the perfect choice & your watercoloring came out just as good as Kay's! I was here alone & only got 3 cards made, but I'm blaming it on still being on East Coast time--haha! Now to hopefully do a few more & get them posted! Big hugs, Greta
ReplyDeleteThese are fabulous Kim!! I LOVE what you used for the
ReplyDeleteLovely cards on both of them, with such diversity of styles. Your stars look just fine to me, and great that you had the die to pinch hit. The look is fabulous...very mysterious with the dark shades of color. I loved your interpretation of the floral inspiration - love the subtle watercolor flowers and those brilliant hot colors. I'd say you made productive use of your crafty time, while enjoying the day with your sister! Good for you! TFS & Happy Sunday.Hugs

You ARE a master, Kim. As you can see I'm way late in commenting but I was so excited to see 'my' card on here today. The sparkle is even more gorgeous in person and I thank you for thinking of me. I am in awe of your watercolor card. Truly a work of art.
