Hello...today is my last day of teaching, it is a little bittersweet. As much as I am looking forward to retiring I will also miss my sweet bunch of preschoolers, so many incredible memories, fabulous fun and so many amazing stories! Here is our last class photo on the playground (6 children out this day). This wonderful group of children will be missed so much!
On to my cards...Birgit from Crafting While I Wait is our fabulous hostess with the mostess this month, her kit is filled with so many wonderful homespun dies, stamped images and incredible patterned paper. I had so much fun playing with her kit and can't wait to pull out my leftovers to case all the wonderful cards made by the rest of the team. This month Birgit has 2 guest designers, Marcia Hill from Marcia's Stampin' Pad and Linda from Lin's Craft Corner both made simply stunning cards! Be sure to head over to the 12 Kits of Occasions blog to see all the wonderful cards. Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by...enjoy your day!

Congratulations Kim on your retirement but I can see why it would be so bittersweet. Your class is filled with all those darling little children! It would be so hard to say goodbye so many many little sweeties. I adore each and every one of your cards and I just knew I would! Your CAS style makes each and every element stand out just perfectly. I love how you angled the polka dotted paper onto the other printed paper. That's such a clever idea and one I don't ever think of. I'll be going back and CASE-ing so many of today's cards. I especially love your last card with the stripes and large checkerboard patterned papers. I just love that is has a vintage diner feel to it. I've so enjoyed seeing how everyone used my first kit. I couldn't be happier or more thankful that you all let me join your amazing group.
ReplyDeleteAwwwwwww they are adorable! Hugs! I love love love your cards! GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteFour FABULOUS cards Kim...love each one!! I especially like your 3rd card...so simple with just the DSP and sentiment, but it really pops to me! This was definitely a fun kit to play with, wasn't it?! And congrats on your retirement! I'm sure it is a little bittersweet saying goodbye to all those sweet little faces, but what a fun ride it must have been teaching all those cuties over the years! Hope you enjoy every day of retirement! :0)
ReplyDeleteGood morning Kim! Love each and every card you made! You always bring a freshness to cards that seems to be effortless! Kind of a modern twist to vintage. Lovely seeing these images put together through your talented eye for detail! Well, congrats are in order. Enjoy every happy day ahead. What a beautiful photo to remember these sweet tots! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteWow Kim! These are wonderful!! I especially love the apron card...reminds me of a black and white tiled floor in a homey kitchen...my fav! Congrats on retiring! Your children will miss you too...my youngest just graduated Pre-K and I know how attached we were to her teacher. You guys are the best!! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun kit! Your creations are lovely! I want to run up to my craft room and CREATE!
ReplyDeleteThey're great, all of them! The third one is a great inspiration on how to make a card using DPs and a sentiment. No need for an image here, with the patterns doing the work...
ReplyDeleteLove seeing all the different ideas that come from the Kits. I really had fun making cards from the kit. Lovely cards, Kim and congrats on your retirement.
ReplyDeleteKim, today is the day?! I'm sure you have mixed emotions for sure, but I do hope you enjoy the extra time you will have. I am sure you have blessed so many hundreds and hundreds of little lives. You made the most wonderful cards with this kit! Love your apron card and your joyful card especially, and extra excited that I can CASE them.
ReplyDeleteOh Kim! You are going to enjoy retirement, I promise! Those are darling kids - they'll miss YOU, too!
ReplyDeleteYour little 'fruit salad' is just darling on that lovely panel, LOve the tipsy panel, and oh my gosh - my best friend's mom had that black and white checked 'linoleum' and we played hopscotch on it - which I'm SURE she loved - not! Well I LOve every card - can't wait to see more and more from you now! xx

ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your retirement, Kim--hoping you don't find the transition too difficult. I did it so gradually it was easy. That is one darling picture of the kiddos! You've worked magic with the kit this month--just love your cards, especially the first one--brilliant!
ReplyDeleteHope your last day was joy filled, Kim (though a little sad, I'm sure) ... and that retirement will be wonderful for you! Your cards are, as always, simply lovely ... my particular favourite is that dotty apron against the cool black and white 'tiles' ... so retro and deliciously nostalgic! Hugs & bisous, Anita :)
