The 12 Kits of Occasions - October Edition 2013

Wow...where has the year gone??? Tomorrow will be Halloween and then only 54 more shopping days until Christmas and yes you all wanted to know that!  It will be sad to say goodbye to Halloween but then on the bright side, I have an entire year to plan for the next one!  Since the weather is a bit cooler and the leaves are starting to turn, it is the perfect time of year for out next kit...Kara from kandrdesigns is our fabulous hostess this month and her kit is amazing.  The colors are so beautiful with oranges, browns, yellow and gold, a wonderful palette to work from.  I have only 6 cards to share, I made 8, one went into my "ugly" card file for future use and the other decided to do flips on my desk while I was reaching for another card to stamp the back and landed front side down on an open dark brown ink pad, so needless to say that card hit the recycle bin.  Kara's kit is amazing and you can see all the cards from this talented group of ladies on our The 12 Kits of Occasions Blog...you will also find a complete list of supplies there as well. Kara is offering a stamp/die set to one lucky commentor on our 12 Kits blog, so be sure to check it out! Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by to peek at my cards....have a wonderful rest of your week!

Simon Says Stamp's current challenge is Anything Goes so I will be submitting a few of my cards to that too.

Have a blessed Thanksgiving...November our hostess will be Kelly Schirmer from ginghamgirlsadventures and we will be making more holiday cards and just in time too!

  3. LOVE that angled card Kim...LOVED it! My favorite and since they were all so good, that really says something! I also loved those flower buttons on that last card! They go with the patterned paper and the filagree border diecut perfectly! I just realized you used one of those buttons on the angled card too! There was just too much to look at this month. Great job with Kara's kit!

  6. What a stunning array of autumnal cards for us, Kim! I'm sorry that there were some injuries incurred in the making of these kit cards; that's always frustrating. What you were left with, however, is more than enough to regale us with your talent! It's impossible for me to choose a favorite! Happy Halloween tomorrow!! Hugs, Darnell

  10. Kim--so much fabulous goodness from this kit. I adore your first card--one of my favorite layouts, and I wish I had thought of it. Your uncolored Autumn Blessings card is beautiful--makes me really wish I did not color mine. Cool use of the stamped strip, fabulous bow, and those flower buttons just add such punch to the cards where you used them. I see you snuck in a card with our new CASual Fridays stamps. I'm casing that one for sure.

  17. Six cards! Wow, you were on a roll! Sorry to hear about the 2 that didn't make it--that happens to me more than I care to admit. :) You've done such a beautiful job with the patterned papers in this kit. That is always the hardest element for me to work with, so I'm inspired by your variety of designs here! I especially love the text paper on your fourth card with the simple stamped wheat image on top. Amazing work this month, Kim!
