Hello.....welcome to the September 2020 version of The 12 Kits of Occasions. This month I am the hostess and the theme is Light Houses. I love visiting these beautiful creations and I am lucky enough to live close enough the the California coast line and can make day trips to visit so many of the wonderful light houses!
This month I invited an alumni to be our guest this month, Joyce from Cards by the Sea! Please be sure to head over to her blog and give your warm welcome!
Below is my collection of cards....
Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by....be sure to head over to our 12 Kits group post for a peek at everyone's cards.
Love love love love these!!!!!! So fun and whimsical!!!!
ReplyDeleteHey Kim! What a fun filled kit you sent! Enjoyed all those pirates especially, so sweet. And the lighthouses too, used only one, so have a couple left overs. Just a perfect kit to play with! All your cards today remind me of cool days at the beach. Loved the sailboat with the critters floating on the sea. The papers were a delight, and fit the theme perfectly. Thanks again, sweet friend!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness where to start, I know I'll start with a thank you for the fun and fabulous kit. I love the all ha ds on deck with those two cute pirate koalas, the waving hello is so simple and so peaceful, the next two where you created water with graphic stamps that is such a great idea! More cute pirates, u fortunately my flag went wrong when I coloured it and the dark grey bleed over the bones :( awesome finish with the lighthouse! Thank you so much for the kit, I have a bit more to do before I finish up with it.
ReplyDeleteOh gosh! What a wonderful kit and looking at your cards today I'm feeling inspired again! So much crafty goodness here! I love the ombre scallops behind the gull, the sandy beach for the pirates, and those wavy colorful ocean lines! Your cards are AWESOME!
ReplyDeleteWow, your cards are amazing. I wish I had made them all. Fun idea with the sailboat...I was wondering what to do with those adorable critters, and now I know. I especially think that you did a great job using all those fun patterned papers. Thank you so much for inviting me to be guest designer and sending me this wonderful kit that I had so much fun playing with.
ReplyDeleteI'll start with a BIG thank you too Kim...your kit was SO much fun and just what I needed to brighten up my day! The images and especially those sweet Koala pirates were just a hoot to color up and the seagulls too with their hats and scarfs!! And the papers were so bright and colorful that truly added to the fun in this kit!! All of your cards totally make me smile and remind me just how fun it is to grow up and live near the water! Thanks again for such a fun kit and helping us to hang on to the last bit of Summer for a while...LOVED it!! Hugs. :0)
ReplyDeleteOh these are all darling bright and colorful , Kim . Just like the kit you sent out. I had so much fun and my three cards came together so fast, I just ran out of time. I usually make my cards as soon as I get my kit. I love the way the water is below the boat, and the lighthouse scenes are beautiful!
ReplyDeletethank you Kim!
What a cute kit Kim, I love lighthouses too! Your cards are all adorable!
ReplyDeleteLove the papers & darling images in your kit, Kim! That last card is so neat with the colorful frame for the lighthouse!
ReplyDeleteKim, all your cards are so darling! The Koala's have stolen my heart and I've discovered a new line of stamps too, so thanks for enabling me. The pirate Koala friends are my favorites. You've colored everything up so perfectly and I'm now totally inspired by those sea gulls too. Thank you so much for such a fun kit and the chance to hold on to the last bit of summer.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely adorable, Kim! So many great cards here, and those pirates are awesome!
ReplyDeleteHi Kim:
ReplyDeleteI love these cute stamps. I saw some of them on Tracey's page, and as I told her...I get a lot of comments on the way I pronounce...ABOUT. It sounds like A-BOAT because I'm from Minnesota...eh! People tell me to "say that again", and I say "what"? ABOUT...say it again. They think it's hysterical that it comes out like A-BOAT, so when I saw this stamp I had to laugh at myself, I guess. Whenever I come home from a visit back to Minnesota, my accent is even more noticeable. If you've ever watched the movie FARGO, you know what I mean. They over-do it a bit, but yeah....I really sound like that. So, that's what it's All-A-Boat, you know? Good for a laugh.
As always, your cards are so cute and so inspiring. I can't wait to see what you'll create this year in the 25 Days of Christmas Tags, but I know I'll be inspired FOR SURE. Last night I was trying to find that cool tag someone made (I think it was last year) that was attached to an empty washi tape tube. Do you remember that? I couldn't find it on Tracey's blog, on Pinterest or anywhere. But I do remember it and wanted to find it again. Anyway...I'm rambling now and this has become a novel.
Hope you are doing well. I'll be back, I'm sure.
Blessings,
Karen Letchworth
